Not so much prevent as help alleviate. No one wants a US version of the Great Wall of China. The Border Patrol supports the wall in certain areas. Not everywhere. Apparently Nancy Peeloosely and her gang of morons in the House think they know more about the situation on the border than the law enforcement professionals who are on the ground and dealing with it every day up close and personal.

How does a wall cut down on people seeking asylum?

The crisis at the border is from people seeking asylum. How will a wall help to alleviate it? Trump is asking Congress to fund a red herring. I know fallacies make sense to conservatives but they are about the only ones...

It cuts down on the number who enter the country and disappear. Only a small fraction of the people seeking asylum get it. About half of the total number never show up for their hearings. These "asylum seekers" are released into the US where they obtain employment, often illegally, clog hospital waiting rooms, obtain fraudulent ID for receiving benefits meant for US citizens and LEGAL residents, and commit other crimes. While just being here is not technically a crime, almost any action they take as an illegal is a crime. How do they support themselves? By staying with other i******s?

I did not realize you were such an expert. I mean, just because the Border Patrol and almost every sheriff on the border says we need a wall in some areas, what do they know? I realize now they should have come to you and gotten an assessment from a REAL law enforcement professional such as yourself.

Using that logic you must obviously believe that since socialism is working well in the Nordic nations bringing their citizens higher literacy longer and healthier lives not to mention better educational outcomes it will work here, period. Oh and since you mentioned Israel how is it that they need ten million dollars a day in aid from US taxpayers and yet provide universal health care and free post secondary education for their people, something conservatives claim the US can’t afford.

You obviously believe that these "Nordic countries" are an example we should emulate. Which ones? Finland, where the country has been bankrupted from their universal healthcare, causing the government to resign en masse? Or maybe Denmark or Sweden, who are not far behind?
What do these countries have in common? Accepting large numbers of "refugees" who are nothing but l***hes on society. People who cannot speak the language and have no job sk**ls other than menial labor.
Sound familiar?
