That is if you are a Democrat. They see “brown” amnesty down the road with millions of new v**ers. Now tell me progressives with thousands being released into our country everyday how does the average American benefit? Who feeds, houses, and takes care of these peoples medical problems. How about a solution for a change.

Our workforce is aging out, most of the baby boomers are or will retire within the next ten years at the same time they will require more and more care in retirement and old age. Young immigrants will be able to fill those roles. Immigrant farm workers are necessary in many agricultural communities and keep our food prices affordable. Most of the new arrivals live with family and friends until established and then support themselves by providing valuable labor and sk**ls to our economy and in many instances opening businesses. Undocumented immigrants are not entitled to welfare, food stamps or medicade, a fact that is lied about consistently. Some do depend on private social service charities while getting established.

Ridiculous. 65% of all welfare goes to immigrants ( both legal and illegal). Farm workers make up only a small fraction of immigrants. They open business all right...by bringing Mexico's (and other countries) market to the US, and sorta like mini Walmarts, price US businesses out of business. I used to build custom cabinets for several builders. I remember when they started hiring Mexican workers...the US workers didn't get too old, they didn't quit, they weren't lazy...fact o business was the Mexicans worked for far less money. That's the only reason. Guess what? Those builders got put out of business by the Mexicans building houses for less money ( one of those businesses you spoke of). What goes around comes around, doesn't it.
Kevyn, was it not you who the other day was saying that automation was taking over? If so, what will the millions...MILLIONS...MILLIONS...that's a 1 with 6 zero's after it and then multiplied...what will they do? Welfare, food stamps, free healthcare, free schooling, free everything...and that will topple the country. If you lost your living because of cheap foreign competition, you might get a different viewpoint.

Mr. Kevyn , your points are not valid. Here as I write I am three minutes from crossing the Rio Grande into Mexico! I live and see everyday what's really going on! They go to a local hospital and get all the Free care they need, makes the wait time for American citizens super long! They have to be seen! Yes most move in with families, many whom are already on every program out there! What they do is add more head counts to there family's and there for get more money! For the most part, I would say 75 to 80% have never used a in door bathroom until they made this trip! Bout a week ago a friend of mine whom works for the border patrol said in ONE DAY she caught 73 people on her on! One lady had two kids, the kids were in short selves but not the lady she was dressed very warm. My point here is those were not her kids if so they would have been kept warm, that's what real parents do!!!! These people will NEVER ASSIMILATE AS AMERICANS!!!! There is a right way to let people in to work, but that's not what the SYSTEM wants! Please come to the border and stay for a week or two! You would not believe what you see here! All the best.

And some of them will end up in MS13. So what's your childish point? It's not r****t at all to want remain a sovereign country. I am all for immigration, legal. You are a typical know nothing liberal. The U.S. takes in more legal immigrants than the rest of the world combined. Sound r****t to you? That word is all you have because you are to stupid to make a legitimate argument. You are a liberal, probably closer to a c*******t. Have seen you cry about minimum wage. A little education here for free. A large work force of uneducated, starving people, third word people (according to you they must be because they get no govt. handouts. Which is another liberal lie) bring down wages. that's a fact. You have no solution except you want the U.S. to no longer follow the rule of law. You'd make a good A****A punk.

Simple solution pass national laws that end state right to work laws and encourage unionization, then set an inflation indexed minimum wage that keeps people out of poverty. And you are wrong i firmly believe the US should follow the rule of law, if someone arrives and requests political asylum the law requires they are granted a court hearing to determine the facts of their request. Follow the law.

Are the people just walking across the border following the law? No. Unions should not be government mandated. Exactly why public unions are full of a bunch of worthless, entitled workers. So just keep everyone out of poverty. State by state? We do not have enough judges, border patrol or ICE agents to do as you suggest. Political asylum can only be requested at ports of entry. I guess it doesn't bother you that most of these i******s are given a court date and over 90% don't show. Kevin quit lying. I know it comes natural but you are an open borders guy. The mess at the border is not Trumps fault. It is congresses. They have sat on their hands and lied to the American people for decades. Trumps rhetoric doesn't help but he did not cause this problem. By the way, you're one of those geniuses that says walls don't work. Even though the border patrol says where they have been used properly they do. I am sure in your mind you know better. Try googling and then reading the fencing Hungary has now put up and see what you think.

They only do jobs like that when they HAVE to. You also have to get a degree to handle patients. How many low paying jobs do we as a nation have? They can't do the manufacturing jobs that Trump is bringing back. Many of those jobs require that employees be computer literate to operate CNC machinery. Workers aren't just warm bodies anymore.

The only ones you should ask about the fate of those millions of former workers are the corporations, as they put in the automation with no thought about the once workers who they put in the street..

corporations have not commitment nor do the care about the life of workers..

You are mixing your facts a bit J, the US does indeed take in about 20% of the worlds immigrants, far more than any other nation, but far from matching the total of the entire world..

https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2016/05/18/5-facts-about-the-u-s-rank-in-worldwide-migration/

By a wide margin, the U.S. has more immigrants than any other country in the world. As of 2015, the United Nations estimates that 46.6 million people living in the United States were not born there. This means that about one-in-five international migrants (19%) live in the U.S. The U.S. immigrant population is nearly four times that of the world’s next largest immigrant destination – Germany, with about 12 million immigrants.

(The UN’s figure of 46.6 million includes Puerto Ricans and others born in U.S. territories; they are not counted as immigrants by the U.S. Census Bureau or in most Pew Research Center publications. People born in Puerto Rico and U.S. territories are U.S. citizens at birth. Several other countries such as France, the United Kingdom and China also have territories and special administrative regions which the UN treats as distinct origins and destinations of international migrants.)

You are correct. We take in the most legal immigrants in the world.
