On March 28, 2019, Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen sent a letter to Congress with an “urgent request” for assistance in stemming what she described as a tide of migrants overwhelming the border, and stating that the department is facing a “system-wide meltdown”.
While the financial burden the massive invasion of i*****l a***ns is placing on American taxpayers is of great concern, the threat of our nation’s security is equally, if not more alarming.
During a stunning interview, Deputy Chief Border Agent Raul Ortiz reveals that U.S. Border Patrol agents have already apprehended 120,000 people crossing the border this fiscal year. Ortiz warned that it’s not just the 120,000 immigrants they’ve caught illegally crossing our borders that Americans need to be concerned about, it’s the 25,000 people that have gotten by border patrol agents due to the lack of a sufficient border wall and necessary funds needed to secure our borders. Ortiz says, “We actually don’t know who they are. So far, here in South Texas, we’ve apprehended folks from 44 different countries. These are from the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Yemen, Iraq, Pakistan, Iran, you name it. Uh…we continue to see some increases in those numbers. Most of the people we apprehend are from Central America, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador. But we do see folks from across the world, and probably, by the end of the year, I would venture to say that number, will get as high as 60 different countries we will apprehend people from.” Deputy Chief Border Agent Ortiz warned, “Those are the people who are trying to get away from us.”

I thought they listed 120,000 in late February. 60,000 in Jan and 60,000 in Feb, and 100,000 in Mar. Unless the figures are for those actually placed in detention?
