So many brilliant minds, but what about the attention span

I read, a lot.
I read so very many good points, valid points, emotional ones, logical ,illogical ,funny and preposterous ones.
Many subjects are serious issues affecting our nation every day.
I wonder ,with all the potential ,right here ,
instead of endlessly joining short lived micro mini debates maybe a topic could live longer than say,.. 72 hours.
Imagine building on something to create more than just the ephemeral opinion.
I know it's sounds as ludicrous as some of the topics posted here, but damn ,with so much potential right here ,wouldn't it be great to accomplish something positive?

The format of this site doesn't really lend itself to those kinds of protracted exchanges. If it sorted responses according to relevance, but alas, it does not. It's all just one after the other, irrespective of relevance. If you respond to the opening post but came late to the fray, your response could appear on page 5 and the OP poster might never see it.

PM someone you like or respect. After you know them better maybe swap emails and work on a project together. Especially if you're in the same state and near one another. Just an idea.
