When Boeing built airplanes that really flew.
The USAF now plans to keep the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress in active service until 2050.
First built in 1955, production ended in 1962, 77 of these monsters will receive new engines,
and new payloads. The B-1 Lancer and the B-2 Spirit will both be retired long before that date.
Perhaps Boeing should consider building a P-52 passenger airliner, and a C-52 for cargo.
Check out the B-21 Raider, a fifth generation super stealthy long range heavy bomber,
set for delivery in the mid 2020's, and said to be undetectable by any known sensors.
