He should have been charged with being a first class i***t. Never, ever, put a firearm in your pocket. Now you know why. Same goes for sticking it under your belt. Just don't do it.

Peewee,
I did think that part of the arrest was having the gun where it is not allowed. If I'm wrong, I will retract the statement with apologies.
"The gun went off" is ludicrus because guns do not just go off. Some action always has to happen for a gun to fire.
It sounded like an anti gun report to me. The report didn't even give enough detail to make any kind of decision about it without a lot of guesswork.
I always like to read your posts.

Correction: happened in AL, eh? Even so, was he carrying in a gun free area?
The report is so vague that we are just guessing.

Second correction: One of the charges was possession of a firearm on school grounds, so I was right in that he was wrong to have the gun in the first place. After reading the report again, I' m convinced that it was written and posted by an anti gunner.
Peewee, br I did think that part of the arrest was... (show quote)

I like reading your post too.

I carry a Colt 38 special w/2" barrel to church in my pocket. (We have a security program...3 or 4 members carry concealed). In my case, there is nothing else in that pocket. I am confident that it will never fire unless/until I pull the trigger.
Something peculiar had to happen for his gun to fire. We are not being told exactly what happened. I can promise you this...his gun DID NOT just fire. Something or someone made that happen. Looks to me like a gun horror story...OMG...a teacher had a gun in school and it went off!!!
I wouldn't carry my weapon in my belt as I don't trust it to stay there, and it's easy to snatch that way.
When on duty, I carry my 40 cal semi in a Blackhawk stage 2 holster.
I do have an inside the pants holster but the grips stick out and it's uncomfortable.

Yea, funny how a chicken s**t cop, couldn't get it done. As long as you're handcuffed they can get the job done. That not used to beating the s**t out anyone unless there is 3 or 5 of them.

Most cops are not like that. The reason we have so many laws protecting the accused is to keep that number down.

Wow! I have been sorely misinformed

I was under the impression that the Parkland shooting was the work of a mentally disturbed student who's behavior had been ignored by the school and the law enforcement...

Now you're telling me that it was all a gun that accidently (?) went off in the pocket of a substitute teacher's pants... Multiple times... And with great accuracy...

Well... I am man enough to admit when I'm wrong.... Hope they release that poor innocent student they pinned it on... Damn corrupt cops...

My response, if you had bothered to go back to the original snarky response, was based on the fact that "liberals are gonna go crazy over this.."

...so far no national protests are marching through the streets to stop this s**t for brains.

You don't know many cops, do you? Yet people like you are the first to call them when your own precious butt is in danger because you have no idea how to handle a situation where said precious butt is in actual physical danger. You would doubtless handle it like the coward cop at Parkland, by cowering outside while innocents are being murdered.
The reason you see four or five cops on one suspect is for the suspect's protection as much as anything. Several cops can restrain a violent subject without too much injury, whereas one or two cops, with a very strong subject, might have to resort to tasers or firearms or pepper spray or tactics which cause more serious injury.

Yep, I do; a state trooper is a neighbor of mine, and I have a cousin on Saginaw Police Force.

Everyone of the cops in MY little town are only slightly more valuable than parking meter safety patrolman.

A couple of kids in the neighborhood went on a window breaking campaign. Long story short, they were caught on camera, in the neighborhood when they were supposedly some place else. The cop only had to proceed to the middle school to confirm that the kids were signed out for the day, but they wouldn't do it.

Whether I know them or not, why do many them beat restrained people and shoot people in the back...because they are worthless and weak.
