In essence you're saying it's a big deal that muslims are murdered in New Zealand but no big deal that Christians are murdered in Nigeria because its a regular thing there.

Also noted is you said Christians need to tone it down but not muslims.

More special consideration for muslims. It's completely irrational not to mention bigoted.

I have never met an Arab who blamed the crusaders for the decline of the Arab world...
Although I have met many who like to compare the behavior of the Crusaders to that of the early muslims.... I think most would agree that the Crusaders were a far more violent savage group...

I agree that the Turks and Mongols played a larger part in the decline of the Arab world... They both converted to Islam as well and played a large part in its spread throughout the east...

How have you been Witless?

It's a newsworthy deal when it happens in a country not known for its violence...

Less newsworthy when it occurs in a country that has had these issues for decades...

Also.. The religious angle on the first makes it of greater importance...

Yep... Herders fighting farmers encroaching on their land... I am happy (poor choice of words) to see that they restrained themselves to the k*****g of adult males (this is a true tenant of Islam).... And razing the farms...

Interesting how when a Christian majority country has people encroaching on the lands of a minority you choose to believe it is the Christians who are the victims...

Should they just give up their lands and convert?
Would that be the Christian thing to do?

You should google "The Religion of Peace." They keep track of all the Muslim terror attacks, and their list goes back to 9-11. Just during the last 30 days, there were 107 Islamic attacks in 22 countries, in which 713 people were k**led and 745 injured. And as careful as they are to post all terror attacks, they still miss a few. Also, there are heart-wrenching stories about what various people have suffered under the fist of Islam.
Having said that, it still doesn't justify anyone from shooting up others as was done to the Muslims at the New Zealand Mosque. I fear there may reprisals, again, involving innocent people, simly borne out of h**e.

It's for everyone following this topic on OPP.
I'm feeling well, but miss my friends in Texas. We stay in touch, but I lived there until Oct '17, when I had to sell my home and move here to Orlando, Fla. I couldn't stay alone during the time I had my CABG x 4 and subsequent pacemaker. I can't complain, as I'm in a good place with my sister and her husband, and other relations live near. And I like being around horses and other livestock.
Growing old is not for the weak of heart.
BTW, how DID a Canadian end up in China?

Sorry to hear about the move... Texans appear to be excellent folk... Though I am limited to my exposure on the OPP.... Gotta watchout for that Badbobby though, he is a rascal...

I wanted to be a teacher since I was a boy... Lots of them in my family...
But it requires another year of university in Canada and I was already pretty burnt out... Also... I didn't like a lot of the changes being made to the school system... And the pay wasn't what it used to be...
So I decided to do a year overseas and see if it really was something that I could make a life at... There were some bumps in the road But I truly enjoyed the year and when the school offered me a better contract I stayed for another year.. Then fell in love... Stayed a few more years... Married... Bought into a training school... Now am at a university (better hours... being a father takes precedence , especially during the early years) and can do my master's at the same time...

China is pretty cool in its own way... Especially up here in the North where everything moves at a slower pace

You are a very selective reader where islam is concerned.

Your argument is like excusing b****s k*****g w****s in South Africa because of of what happened during apartheid.

Not in the least...

Nor do I excuse the k*****gs... Read my earlier statements on the thread if you seek proof...

The b****s of South Africa are wrong in their k*****gs as well...

You are attempting to conflate a land dispute with a religious one.... They are not k*****g the farmers due to their religion, but due to the encroachment on tbeir traditional lands... If it were due to religion than they would k**l the women and children as well...

The Nigerian government is at fault here... While I can understand the need for more farmland, that does not justify the theft of other people's land.... It becomes muddled because of course the Muslims are nomadic and don't lay claim to permanent settlements..

There is more going on than a land dispute. And they’d k**l them if they were any other religion as well.

Its not really muddled. They’re doing what muslims tend to do and have been doing for centuries. Thats the reality of islam.

They would fight if both sides were Muslims as well...

That's the reality of humanity...
