Seems so obvious

As I have gotten older my perspective has changed, fortunately. I am no longer as sure about everything. Still, with my long term perspective, many things still appear obvious to me, and when these obvious things are ignored by our government, I have to wonder at the reasons and motives behind the inaction. This is NOT a political statement. In fact, Republicans have allowed much of this to be propagated.

1. Another murder took place in San Jose, California. An innocent woman was stalked and stabbed to death by an i*****l i*******t. ICE had been repeatedly prevented from deporting this guy because San Jose is a sanctuary city. Obviously, citizens of the US CANNOT BE PROTECTED FROM I******S, ONLY FROM OTHER CITIZENS. This is wrong.

2. The US spends upwards of 70 billion dollars per year caring for, and processing i*****l i*******ts. The border states, and I live in two of them, spend additional funds trying to educate them and care for their medical expenses. The standard of education, and in fact, the standard of living, in our states has been grossly degraded by the influx of unsk**led, uneducated, diseased, and destitute i******s. Sure, most of the i******s are not criminals. Yet, the influx is so great that we have no ability to sort out drug traffickers, rapists, k**lers, sex traffickers, and the like. Every civilized country I know of at least makes an attempt to secure their borders. Apparently the US has no moral right to do so. Does the government not have a moral duty to protect our borders? Conclusion: five billion for a border wall and additional amount for more patrols is a good investment. Also, though I am not holding my breath, Congress needs to update our i*********n l*ws.

3. In Congress for life should not be possible. Term limits are in order.

4. Bernie Sanders has never had a job. He should not be allowed to dictate economic protocol ever, let alone t***sform our country.

5. Russia and, and Putin in particular, are not charitable. So why did Russia “contribute” millions of dollars to the Clinton foundation? Seems it was the Uranium deal which t***sferred almost 20% of our Uranium reserves to Russia, backed by Hillary, who was Secretary of State at the time. Or, does everyone think these things are coincidental? Uranium is, and was, a strategic resource. It has been considered treason to t***sfer any of this resource to a foreign Entity, let alone a potential enemy.

6. The Steele dossier on Trump was bought and paid for by the Hillary campaign. It was backed by Comey, and it was pretty much the ONLY basis for the FISA warrant used to investigate Trump. It was all cobbled together crap. Does anyone really think that a group of 13 democrats, led by Mueller, could spend two YEARS investigating the allegations and not find an impeachable offense if there was one? Yet Congress spends more time jawboning on this than on doing their job.

7. Socialism does not work. We are already paying a very high price for the corruption and inefficiency of our Government programs. Already too much is wasted and stolen. Why does anyone think the Government can safely handle more programs? The Government does not have funds. They only redistribute the wealth of the people who earn money. When candidates talk about free college, free healthcare, eliminating f****l f**ls in ten years, guaranteed income whether you work or not, they are making empty promises that cannot be fulfilled, not even if they took EVERYTHING from the wealthy. They are campaigning to get v**es from the sheep. I know it is popular to discuss some of these things. It makes sense to do so. But, unfortunately, many people are beginning to believe these promises, and they v**e. They are drinking the Koolaid. Our founders understood the need to limit c3entralized government and charge it mainly with responsibility of “providing for the common defense.” Reagan agreed. He said “Government is not the solution, it is the problem.” Over the long run, Socialism means giving up personal responsibility and freedom. In Venezuela it tore down a rich country and turned it into a corrupt tyranny. Even Sweden, Norway, and Denmark have backed away from their more socialistic views.

8. Third-term a******ns and after-birth a******ns are just plain wrong. Yet the Governor of Virginia is promoting that idea. It is barbaric.

9. I find it difficult to understand why a candidate would change his name from his Irish given name of Robert Francis Orourke to Beto Orourke just to be “more Latino.”

Maybe it will be more obvious and less difficult for you to understand if you read ALL of the following...

I Read it.
Beto is a Liberal, and Cruz is a conservative.
It still seems so obvious why Conservativism is head and shoulders above liberalism/socialism.

I agree with every word.
However, before the next e******n come we MUST make sure that no more v**es are stolen (from either side), educate the public about the actual differences between liberalism, and recruit strong candidates who will keep their promises. This will be a monumental task. It stymies me how this can be accomplished in so little time.
The next time a democrat is elected, the republic will be lost and I think we will very rapidly be devolved into a Venezuelan type of nightmare.

My friend, I will take your word as to reading the entire link. But, since you refuse to accept the answer to your confusion as to why Mr. O'Rourke went with the name he's gone by since pre-school, you seem to confirm the old saying: A mind is like a parachute, in that it won't work unless it's open. Given its limited parameters of thought, yours appears impenetrable.

Since you're likeable and reasonably intelligent, I can't tell if it is simply naivete' or purposeful obtuseness on your part in overlooking/ignoring the explanation for the alleged confusion. In essence, simply due to your ideological favoritism, you choose to yield Ted Cruz a pass for the same (supposed) faux pas of which you wrongly question/accuse Beto O'Rourke.

So you claim I am "obtuse" for not having much faith in Beto to straighten things out. I could use the same description of you for h*****g on to Liberalism/socialism, given their history.

"I agree with every word.
However, before the next e******n come we MUST make sure that no more v**es are stolen (from either side), educate the public about the actual differences between liberalism, and recruit strong candidates who will keep their promises. This will be a monumental task. It stymies me how this can be accomplished in so little time.
The next time a democrat is elected, the republic will be lost and I think we will very rapidly be devolved into a Venezuelan type of nightmare." - Iliamna1

In an ongoing attempt to obfuscate the message of my initial post, not only have you proven to be clearly obtuse but...even worse, also int***sigent and incorrigible.

You have been weighed...you have been measured...and, you have been found wanting.

Sadly, you have relegated yourself to being no more than a troll.

It still seems so obvious why Conservativism is head and shoulders above liberalism/socialism.

‘WAX MY ASS, SCRUB MY BALLS’ — THIS BETO O’ROURKE POEM FROM 1988 IS BEYOND BELIEF

Maybe....but at least it will have good entertainment value.

‘Wax My Ass, Scrub My Balls’ — This Beto O’Rourke Poem From 1988 Is Beyond Belief

Beto O’Rourke’s recently unearthed membership in the hacking group “Cult of the Dead Cow” may not have included the “edgiest sorts of hacking activity,” but it did, apparently, include writing murder fantasies and exceptionally bad poetry.

Writing under the now-exposed pseudonym “Psychedelic Warlord,” a teen-aged O’Rourke appears to be the author of a poem titled “The Song of the Cow,” published in 1988 by “cDc (Cult of the Dead Cow) communications.”

“I need a butt-shine,” the poem begins … and it really all just goes downhill from there:

I need a butt-shine,
Right now
You are holy,
Oh, sacred Cow
I thirst for you,
Provide Milk.

Buff my balls,
Love the Cow,
Good fortune for those that do.
Love me, breathe my feet,
The Cow has risen.

Wax my ass,
Scrub my balls.
The Cow has risen,
Provide Milk.

The poem, for better or for worse, has been preserved forever by the Google Wayback Machine as a part of the group’s former website, cultdeadcow.com.

Yes, you remain the troll, as I responded to your post with an answer to your confusion. You continue to obfuscate the matter for discussion: Mr. O'Rourke's use of his life-long nickname. The subject of his politics/ideology was never challenged or brought up, except as a means of defense by you.

What has this got to do with the subject of this thread?
`So he changed his name to Beto and hid it with a grin.’ On the deeper purposes of the Cruz jingle.'
