The c***ting on the SATS and the illegal ways used to get undeserving students into coveted universities are reprehensible. Many deserving students were denied admission because others gamed the system. However, let us consider the thousands of bright white and Asian students who have been refused admittance to make room for students of lesser ability. This is called Affirmative Action and has been used for decades. One could argue such a policy is and has always been unfair and reprehensible.

It's been proven that a more diverse population among college students leads to a better, more well-rounded education that benefits the whole student body. In the same way that in-breeding produces inferior progeny over cross breeding, exposure to multi-faceted cultural experiences broadens the horizons and leads to a healthier, more productive and innovative society.
The c***ters who tried to game the system not only set the bar low for their kids by teaching them that privilege allows them to not play by the rules, but resulted in the shame and loss of their good name which no amount of money can buy.

It is a fallacy that affirmative action has resulted in a better higher education system. Perhaps you should spend some time visiting various campuses.
