That alleged statement by Keynes sounds like somewhat of a paraphrase. It's been a long time since I've read "The Wealth of Nations" but I remember his writings as being a bit wild at times. He was not a true Economist yet his beliefs were taken by some as gospel, mostly those on the left. I favored Adam Smith whose economics has lived on and has been held by more scholars such as Milton Friedman who is sort of my guru. His principles of Free Market Capitalism, with the keyword being "Free Market" has been instrumental in bringing more people out of poverty than any other economic principle.

Their country's economic system and form of government are toxin to their people and world.

Here is the beauty of Capitalism.
America became the richest and most powerful country in the world since its founding.

The brilliant settlers have empowered the coming immigrants from most parts of the world, first from Europe, and many countries of Asia. They brought their talents, hard works, and innovations that created wealth and advanced education and science for our country.

In addition, their faith in God empowered them to strive, rewarded with success. So many became inventors of modern machines, facilities, and was able to spread the knowledge to most people via books, schools thru our educational system, magazines, and various outlets of literature.

The endless quest for knowledge of the people have also rewarded them with the best technology that advanced our ways of life, and our advanced military powers over other countries.

Banking and Capitalism provided unlimited resources of capital for all ambitious people to engage in all kinds of business activities that enriched our country to the most successful and most generous country in the world.

Now almost all people want to come to the US, via all means, legally, and now millions illegally. This is due to our capitalistic system, that provide freedom for the people to invest, work hard, and innovate, then reap success.

They very tiny country of Israel is the most successful country in the Middle East due to its Capitalistic system and their faith in God.

Whereas, other countries do not have the same freedom that we all enjoy in the United States. Though currently, many countries have followed the US Capitalistic system which they now succeed as well, like China, Japan, SK, the Philippines, and other countries in Asia, in Europe, Canada, and Australia.

Capitalism creates wealth, whereas Socialism/C*******m consume, and render its people unproductive. The only power left are the head of the state, his families and cronies. E.g. Venezuela, Cuba, NK, all countries in South and Central America, NK, most in Africa. Now tens of millions are parading on the streets in route to the United States.

The working masses in Socialism and C*******m become s***es and destitute. They die secretly in hunger and abuses by the leader, without freedom or rights. Anybody suspected of being against the leader are secretly k**led without due process. E.g. Venezuela, NK.
