Come on Peter. How presumptuous do you have to be to think you can control the climate? When one single solar flare or even a volcano can undo decades of miserly, frugal living of the whole planet. Can you control those natural occurring phenomena? If not, then give it up. You're not God.
If t***h be known, the c*****e-c****e altar is the ideal vehicle for controlling economies worldwide, containing all the necessary ingredients. Climate affects everyone, it's worldwide, and every and any climate aberration can be conveniently be pointed to as evidence of the crisis. Disregard for the moment the idea that, to be effective, everyone in the planet should sign on, not just some. Good luck getting China, India, Russia, Mexico and all those other polluters to sign on. The US already does way more than our pro-rata share.
It used to be called g****l w*****g except it had to be renamed to the all encompassing c*****e c****e for the obvious reason that cooling trends disrupted the narrative.

The answer to be considered might be along the line of were I live. Where I live in the geographical center of the state of Minnesota there was, some time back, about 3000 feet of ice in the form of a glacier. Because so many folks burned s much wood that was growing on top of the ice the glacier melted. It had nothing to do with the way the earth was created!

I have a problem with you. You are old enough to remember smog, the thick brown clouds that covered every major city in the nation. You forgot how it made your eyes, lungs, and even your skin would burn. You don't recall half our waterways were closed to swimming and fishing. We had acid rain that ate the paint off of cars. We cleaned it up. I haven't seen smog in at least 20 years and know of no places we can't swim or fish. We already have cleaner air than any of those countries joining this one world order c*****e c****e bull s**t. It was once called g****l w*****g but it never happened. So they changed the name but being there is still no cure for stupid..
The total man could do to change something that don't exist wold all be for not with a small volcano eruption. So how some would give up the greatness of the most unpolluted nation on Earth to become a third world country ruled by Socialism (a necessary step to C*******m) you need more than the word of ones that would make billions off the s**m or ones seeking government grants. If you want to give up freedom for a false god, Mother Earth do it but don't d**g me into your crazy fantasy.

In Vietnam we kept the Ho Chi Man trail closed down for an extra month seeding the clouds. JFK talked about controlling the weather. When young I remember jets vapor trails would vanish almost as fast as they appeared. Now they criss cross the sky and linger all day. According to the people in these areas trees are dying and large amounts of aluminum are in the soil. I don't know about the aluminum but I do see a lot of dying in the desert and that sure isn't c*****e c****e. If government says they can't do it I would think they have been doing it for a while. I have looked at some photos of that nuclear plant in Japan that was suppose to have come close to melt down during the tsunami. Close to melt down? All I saw was a hole in the ground where the tower was. We don't have a clue on what our government can and can't do, but we do know they liE.
Please don't think I support anything Pete has to say. I am just going with what I see and the past crap the government has dropped on cities and people of this country.

Great post! I have a problem, also, with people living in the greatest country ever (second to ancient Israel before the period of kings!), who can’t take the time to find out why and how this great country was conceived and in particular what its main enemies are: namely governmental overreach. The last century proved conclusively that big government is oppressive and murderous beyond compare, and these (expletives deleted) think they are the intelligent ones for advocating big government control over our lives! Good grief!!! Talk about mind-controlled zombie puppets! It just goes to prove how far they are willing to go to deny God and replace Him with their humanism! That’s what it really is, bottom line! It was the same thing, humanism, which also ultimately caused the fall of ancient Israel.
