I seem to remember a certain candidate having a similar smugness about questions of P**********l electability. She got quite the shock, and I expect you will as well.

40 years. Right. Since 1979 (That's 40 years ago, in case you didn't notice), there have been seven Presidents inaugurated to the White House, three were Democrat:

Jimmy Carter
Bill Clinton
And not forgetting:
Barack Obama (Excuse me while I dry heave for a couple of minutes)

Seems to me we have what is commonly referred to as a 'statistical tie'.

"Swinging right" you say? Care to elaborate?

You are so right! As of this date, the Republicans have held the Presidency for 22 years and the Dems 18 years since 1979.

Downfall? That's putting it mildly. They'll be lucky if they can even get on the b****t again after the thrashing they're looking at in 2020. Honestly, if they weren't so h**eful, I'd almost feel sorry for them.

Almost...

JFK got my sympathy, but no other Democrat since then.
But today, JFK would be a Republican. Even the Bushes were to the left of JFK.
