Mother was always feeding someone who was hungry... she couldn't stand anyone without... and we didn't have it either.. but she shared what little we did have.. we only had a little ICE BOX .. no fridge for us.. we were too poor.. but she still fed those who were hungry.. but some in this country never know when to try and help themselves... they'd rather steal... its' much easier that way... so now Im in need of mental help... I do have food to eat... but how can one be helped mentally where the world is against you... and the ones you love the most has disappointed u... I remember my mother telling my brother and me... you can do almost anything.. but please do not ever bring SHAME on our family.. I remember those
words so many times as she said them... and fortunately for her.. we never disappointed her.. we never brought shame on her good name.. we were good kids... she worked so hard all her life... and I mean hard too... u see my daddy died when I was very young. maybe about 4 or 5 don't remember.. and she had my brother too who was a couple years older than me.. but he had my Moteher's good sweetness... her two sisters were equally as sweet as my Mother.. and when Mother's daddy was sick and about to die.. she brought him home with her.. and he died there in one of our beds... she loved her Daddy so much and her sister brought their Mother to her house where she died at her house just like he did... in the care of their children... they were good children to their parents...and here I sit.. laden with grief of what I have done or not done to have selfish two kids like I did.. the most generous of my kids was Cheryl.. then Ric... well they both were the same.. C n C were greedy and stilla re to this day... dont know where they got it from.. cause I was not that way.. and neither was their daddy.. he was a good man.. he never wanted praise for his goodness... and some how some way.. that goodness was not on two of my kids... and it saddens me to know they are like that... they didnt have to be.. they chose to be... that's a CHOICE of their own... yet somehow I have to suffer the grief from it... gonna take kelly out to tee tee

Andy! Snap out of it my friend. I have two grown kids, one is a lawyer and one works in IT at a huge hospital. Neither will give me the time of day, and my wife (their mother) and I have resolved ourselves to the fact we need to depend on each other as we don't feel we can depend on our children. We are happy with each other and enjoy each other's company. We dont have a lot, but we manage to take an occasional trip to see our grown grand children and their kids. What we have will belong to them someday because my kids don't need it and more than that, they don't deserve it. And I'm good with that.
Get comfortable with yourself Andy and look for the bright side. It's there, you just have to look for it, and expect to find it.

Here's something to think about. You have an active shooter at a mall, there's a conservative and a liberal at the mall in the area where the shooter is. Here's the hard part, imagine the conservative and the liberal both have guns (hard part is a liberal with a gun). Meanwhile the liberal curls up in a ball or cowards in a corner thinking about how he is going to react or come up with a plan while innocent people die. The conservative reacts in his typical knee jerk mode and takes out the shooter preventing more loss of life.

Sounds like Broward County deputy sheriff, doesn't it? How many kids got k**led that day? I'll take a conservative over a snowflake lib anyday.

Why can't a conservative look at statistics that are THE official statistics without applying FOX based rhetoric that has no factual basis to it and taking the word of that rhetoric?

The conservative is the one that pulls his gun out and starts shooting, endangering many innocent people.

The liberal (me) is the one that watches, makes himself look as nonthreatening as possible, watches to see what's up, if I see that the guy is going to get his money and leave. If the shooter seems to be unhinged and psychotic right winger that might go off because the person is hispanic or black, I'll shoot him right square in the back with confidence, knowing that I can shoot a four inch group with my concealed carry gun at 55 yards... my practice distance.

This is the difference between the conservative ego driven hero fight response to danger, whip a gun out and start shooting, meanwhile the liberal with a thinking functioning part of the brain, and no ego involved, is calm and collected enough to let the guy get his money and leave if that's what he is allowed to do. But make no mistake, that thinking functioning part of the brain is looking for that point where an innocent person can get hurt, and I will end it knowing I can do that at any time.

And I will point out something in regard to whether your kids "deserve it" or not, they put up with you and your unbending conservative ways for way too long... they deserve it, in the meantime enjoy it and don't worry about saving anything for them or your grandkids, grandkids can waste money given to them in ways that would make you turn in your grave.
