We lived in Louisiana for four years 2000-2004). My daughter started dating a boy from Texas. We got in a discussion where he was bragging up Texas. I said I like the trees in LA. He said, Texas has trees in the east part. I said, so the closer you get to LA, the better it gets?
My mother in law was from Texas. She got claustrophobic anywhere where there were trees (most places where we lived).

I love Texas. Went to the University of Houston years ago. Great school.love the people and their outlook on life and In General. Their mainly optimistic and conservative, most of them love the country and the
Constitution. They are for ownership of guns and like hunting. I like their food and policies. They have to be aware though that many Californians are moving to Texas because they can't stand California but they also
Bring their policies which can change things. North Carolina used to be a very conservative state but the northerners are changing thing slowly so we have to be alert. But Texas is the place to be and if I were
Younger I'd head back to Texas where freedon is worth fighting for
