Enlisting in the Military for Backdoor Amnesty

Washington lawmakers are pushing for a House v**e on legislation (H.R.435 and H.R. 2377) that would grant amnesty to those living in the U.S. illegally in exchange for military service.

This is a misguided approach. Amnesty is wrong and undermines the rule of law by encouraging future unlawful immigration. This proposal would only add insult to injury. Haven't we learned anything at all by allowing other nationalities to join our military, only to have them k**l American soldiers as a way to thank us for our stupidity?

he only realistic way to deal with these illegal criminals is to round them up, put them in a barbed-wire enclosed concentration camp, feed them on bologna sandwiches and water until such time as we can deport them back to the border with specific orders to never be caught here again or they would be put in a tent jail like Sheriff Arpaio has in the Arizona desert.

Now that is punishment any criminal can understand. A sentence there and the repeaters are not so hot to go back. And these i******s are not any different than any other criminal.

You could have included some pertinent details about these two proposals (as I have below), but you would rather use the opportunity to express your h**eful and radical nature.

These are two Republican proposals that arent likely going to go anywhere:

HR 435 was sponsored by Republican Congressman Mike Coffman of Colorado. Persons eligible…”A person who, at the time of enlistment in an armed force, has resided continuously in a lawful status in the United States for at least two years.”

HR 2377 was sponsored by Republican Congressman Jeff Denham of California. Purpose: “To amend title 10, United States Code, to authorize the enlistment in the Armed Forces of certain aliens who are unlawfully present in the United States and were younger than 15 years of age when they initially entered the United States, but who are otherwise qualified for enlistment, and to provide a mechanism by which such aliens, by reason of their honorable service in the Armed Forces, may be lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence.”

The likelihood that these two proposals will go anywhere is pretty slim, but I don't think they are unreasonable solutions in dealing with LEGAL residents (for at least 2 years) who never committed a crime other than being under the age of 15 when they accompanied their parents who entered the U.S. illegally.

You are clearly an abuser of the kool aide. Like all excessive drinkers, it has caused you to have diarrhea of the mouth. Your penchant for pasting cartoons shows your childish mentality. Try posting Hagar The Horrible and you would be more believable.

I thought the military was cutting back. My grandson tried to get in 3 different forces and was told the cutback prevented them from adding more. Immigrants under these proposals should, in my opinion, not have priority to our citizens.

I guess I know a little more about immigration than you evidently do. I know the difference between I*****L i*********n and LEGAL immigration. And this, Mr. know it all, is one hell of a lot more than you prove to know.

I know that the quota for legal immigrants is not filled because most of the one's sneaking across our borders can't pass the very lenient testing done to come here legally. They evidently can't either pass the criminal past screening, illegal drug use screening, communicable disease screening or even the willing to learn passable English screening that all immigrants are supposed to agree to.

You lump all immigrants in the same group, evidently not knowing when our forefathers came to this country they proved up on the requirements they had to meet to become citizens. But knowing you by the stupid BS you pass as intellect, your ancestors probably did sneak in because they were so Syphilis and Leprosy infected that their meat was dropping from their bones, leaving them as evident rejects as legal immigrants.

My brother married a girl from Spain when he was in the military. She came to this country and she worked for 7 years to get her citizenship. She had to study our customs, take English speaking classes, and undergo periodic testing to prove that she was indeed trying to become a citizen. That is how long it took then. But she persevered and won it, and was, and still is, a very proud American.

But then lamebrains such as yourself and the nancy-girl CWO believe we should just open our borders to any and all manner of filth that decides that they want to come to America to cash in on all the freebies offered here.

I guess you have never heard of the Federal Immigration and Nationality Act, have you? Because if you ever had, you would not show your blatant stupidity by lumping all legal and i*****l i*******ts together.

But of course they will have because of brainwashed Democrats such as our very own CWO. He is one of the very few retirees from any branch of the military that thinks Obummer is an all American president. Most believe him to be what he is; an un-American Muslim that has only the ruination of this country at heart.

I havn't seen anything that said that these aliens would have priority to enter the military over others. What I read (on the gov site that tracks legislative proposals) is that neither of these laws have much chance of getting passed. I think the percentage chance of being passed that I read was 6% for one of them and 19% for the other. I can't remember which was which.

It has nothing to do with your grandson. Even in times of drawdowns, new recruits are needed. Competition gets keen during drawdowns. I imagine that your grandson was denied entry because of the unavailability of openings in the occupational specialty he wanted or his test scores or something. He should keep trying. Things change. Good luck to him! I have a load of respect for young people who want to join the military today!

That's just not true. In fact, a couple of nights ago I received an award from my company's board of directors (almost all of whom are 2, 3, or 4-star generals and admirals) for a program I have worked on for the past year that supports widows of service members who die and have died on active duty going as far back as WWII. Your claim (that Obama is "an un-American Muslim that has only the ruination of this country at heart" ) wasn't discussed at this awards dinner, of course, but it was clear from the speeches that these distinguished gentlemen gave that none of them think anything like you do. Both Presdent Obama and his wife have been very supportive of military families.

Somehow, you just make up stuff and then assume the rest of the world thinks the same thing. Strange.

What the heck! You think that was something. A couple of nights ago I received an award for being the first woman to set up housekeeping on Mars. I came back to get my husband and dog so they could see what a wonderful place Mars is. It has some of the most fantastic golf courses in the universe, and sparkling champagne flows naturally from the ground. Food grows on trees and all one has to do is walk up to a bush of choice and dine on anything from hot dogs to hamburgers to steak to caviar without spending one penny.

Remember, you started it!

I did not say they were given priority, but in my opinion, they should not be as there is no mention in these proposed bills. I also agree it looks like they're mostly dead issues.
I appreciate your advice. He has very high scores and wanted to enter the mechanics field. You may be accurate and he will continue to try.
A little different than when I was in. You either volunteered or were drafted. How things change.
