In questioning Cohen, Ocasio-Cortez focuses on potential Trump fraud

Many may think here that Ocasio-Cortez is some lamebrain, bats**t, fluff, yet every attempted attack against her by the Right has proved a spanking. She is for real, but definitely a bit loopy. A little like Trump, in a way, by not being PC and just speaking her mind, no matter what may tumble out.

Ocasio-Cortez began her questions by asking about a collection of documents allegedly collected by American Media Inc. (AMI), the parent company of the National Enquirer magazine, which Cohen had called a “treasure trove” of incriminating information about Trump. Cohen said he didn’t know the documents’ current location, but that the people who would know were David Pecker, chairman of AMI, who was recently accused of attempted extortion by Amazon’s Jeff Bezos; Barry Levine, the National Enquirer’s former executive editor; or Dylan Howard, AMI’s vice president.

Ocasio-Cortez then turned to discussing potential insurance fraud by Trump. Cohen stated that the president had reported inflated assets to insurance companies and that former Trump Organization officials Alan Weisselberg, Ron Lieberman and Matthew Calamari would know more about the practice. She then segued into asking about information that Trump has avoided releasing since he began his campaign.

“Where do you think the committee might find more information on this?” asked Ocasio-Cortez, referring to the alleged insurance fraud. “Do you think we need to review his financial statements and his tax returns in order to compare them?”

“Yes,” said Cohen, “and you’d find it at the Trump Org.”

Ocasio-Cortez and Cohen then discussed Trump’s practice of increasing and decreasing the values of his properties, particularly his golf courses, to avoid tax bills, a tactic that was described in an August 2016 report by the Washington Post. It said Trump had valued his golf course in Jupiter, Fla., at $50 million but that his attorney had argued for three straight years that for the sake of calculating the tax bill, it should be declared as worth “no more than $5 million.” Cohen said that this tactic was identical to the tax treatment Trump used for Trump National Golf Course in Briarcliff Manor, N.J.

No Russia collusion found, Roger Stone denies Cohen's WikiLeaks claims. But to dig up real estate devaluations of some golf course in the Bronx during the 1990s Savings & Loan crisis or Florida during the 2008 housing market collapse is absolutely ridiculous. Every Democrat's piece of property in California was underwater and nobody was "c***ting" the IRS of property tax revenue. These Democrats are making such fools of themselves, like mad dogs howling in the wind.

Grasping at straws. The National Enquirer? I must have missed that issue. Did they run this expose' before or after the one about the Bat Boy secretly advising a number of presidents? Or was it Big Foot finally proven to exist? So many fairy tales, so little time.

God in Heaven. After a two year long investigation the best they can do is conflicting, coached testimony from a convicted perjurer, and a looney tune dingbat referencing a tabloid? The nitwit-o-crats spent HOW MUCH of OUR money on this snipe hunt?

Yes, the Democrats are grasping at straws. The news today cited the Republicans approaching the DOJ to arrest Michael Cohen for perjury in his House testimony. The guy is lying through his teeth, knowing he's going to prison for the rest of his life, he feels he has nothing to lose. Pure spite.

But the Democrat lead House Oversight Committee is lapping it all up as gospel t***h. It is so pathetically weird. Had there been any improprieties in Trump's business deals, the IRS would have caught them decades ago. Someone aught to call up Herman Caine to lecture these puppies on economics.

Mr. Caine is too smart for the Democrats. He took a loser pizza chain and turned it around. I have pointed out before that Trump has the best tax lawyers in the world on his payroll and if there were any improprieties the IRS would have found out about them years ago. Just another damn Liberal snipe hunt.

Was it not Berger King and Kentucky Fried Chicken that Herb Caine turned around? The guy also oversaw one of the Federal Reserve Banks in Kansas, I think, and served the navy as a rocket launcher. I would have v**ed for Caine in a heartbeat, but Romney got the nomination.
