Rep. Matt Gaetz, a Republican on the House Oversight Committee, appeared to threaten to release publicly embarrassing details about Michael Cohen one day before Cohen is scheduled to testify before the panel.
"Hey @MichaelCohen212 - Do your wife & father-in-law know about your girlfriends?" Gaetz tweeted. "Maybe tonight would be a good time for that chat. I wonder if she'll remain faithful when you're in prison. She's about to learn a lot."
Gaetz's tweet came on the heels of a Wall Street Journal report that said Cohen plans to publicly accuse President Donald Trump of criminal conduct while in office when he testifies on Wednesday.
Shortly after Gaetz sent out the tweet, some legal experts suggested his statement could amount to witness intimidation and obstruction of justice. Gaetz denied that, saying he was "witness testing."
Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz drew swift backlash after sending out a tweet in which he appeared to threaten to release embarrassing details about Michael Cohen's personal life on the eve of Cohen's testimony before the panel.

Cohen is scheduled to testify before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday morning. Gaetz's tweet came on the heels of a Wall Street Journal report that said Cohen, President Donald Trump's former longtime lawyer and fixer, plans to accuse Trump of criminal conduct in office during the hearing.

Gaetz's tweet raised red f**gs among some legal experts, who said the congressman's statements could be seen as attempted witness intimidation and obstruction of justice.

Wow, such hypocrisy, if someone were to do that to a witness that were to be rolling over on a Democrat, you would be screaming bloody murder. We can see just how much some people care about actual justice, it is only justice if it may destroy a Democrat huh? If it may destroy a Republican, it is a travesty that can't be allowed.

Another misguided attempt to distort attention on a issue.
Some one not liking to hear what some one has to say just try's to belittle the statement.
A response that is all most as useless as my statement on that issue.

The bit about what is going around is coming around doe's speak to a surer response to the issue.
The only thing is going around & coming around only begets more of each.

This it was just a useless response to a useless response.

We have too much time & not enough common sense to stop wasting our time just wanting to see our thoughts in printed form.
My guilt is as bad as any one's.
I just waste my time here because doing this keeps we away from eating more junk food.
