Pollution in Lake Erie has gotten so nasty that the entire region around Toledo had to used bottled and trucked in water the summer before last because runoff caused toxic algae blooms poisoned the lake so badly the municipal water system could no longer sufficiently treat the water. This is an interesting way for people to try to take back control of public resources when state and federal regulators bow from pressure from corporate lobbiests to do nothing.
It can only get worse if future presidents follow the lead of Trump and put lobbyists with a vested interest in loosening EPA regulations in as head of the EPA.
