Sen. Sasse pushes Born-Alive A******n Survivors Protection Act
Senate Democrats on Monday blocked a GOP effort to introduce a billl meant to protect a******n survivors, which came in response to comments last week by Virginia Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam that seemingly endorsed post-birth a******ns in certain cases.

Nebraska Republican Sen. Ben Sasse sought unanimous consent to pass the Born-Alive A******n Survivors Protection Act, which would have required that "any health care practitioner present" at the time of a birth "exercise the same degree of professional sk**l, care, and diligence to preserve the life and health of the child as a reasonably diligent and conscientious health care practitioner would render to any other child born alive at the same gestational age."

The bill, which exempted the mother involved in the birth from prosecution, also would have required practitioners to "ensure that the child born alive is immediately t***sported and admitted to a hospital."

It prescribed a possible term of imprisonment of up to five years for violations, not including penalties for first-degree murder that could also apply.

However, Washington Democratic Sen. Patty Murray objected to Sasse's bill, saying the legislation was unnecessary and amounted to a political stunt.

"We have laws against infanticide in this country," Murray said. "This is a gross misinterpretation of the actual language of the bill that is being asked to be considered and therefore, I object."

Sasse, speaking on the Senate floor, told his colleagues that "frankly, this shouldn't be hard" to pass.

"In this country, all of us are created equal," Sasse said. "Because if that e******y means anything, surely it means that infanticide is wrong."

Democrats will be liable for each murdered baby.
How do they live with themselves?

How often do you suppose this thing that this bill was for actually happens?

My guess is never, and of course if a "live" baby were the result of an a******n that would have had to have been done entirely wrong, infanticide is already illegal.

This was redundant and unnecessary grandstanding playing to the hard right that eats it up.

You're an ignorant fool. There are accounts out there from a******n survivors. Your beliefs trip you up, and make you look foolish.

On top of that, Woodglue, if a kid can be k**led once it leaves the womb living, and breathing, why don't women have the right to chase a 3 year old down the hall, and k**l them with a lamp?
You, sir, are one screwed up individual. And a dishonest person. At best.

New York just approved a******n up until birth. In any sane persons mind, I realize that excludes you, that is infanticide. It has already been proven that when an a******n fails, the baby is not cared for to keep it alive, but is put aside and left to die. Illegal, I know. But not prosecuted. Murder is murder, no matter how you phrase it. That should be realized by even one such as you.

Wake up and smell the stink from the a******n clinics. The acts have been reported by
people that have been there, and even participated in them, and left with disgust after. Read something beside the drivel your side puts out. Facts are facts, and even
you can’t, with t***hfulness, deny them. If it was a grandstanding play, why would it not be passed by the left. Are they looking for loopholes so the murders can continue?

Since when did planned parenthood care for legality in any of their programs. Selling baby parts is also illegal, yet they were caught at it. Why would yo want to protect the illegal acts. In a court of law, you would be an accessory if you knew about a crime and ignored it.

Kermit Gosnell. That's all the proof needed.

You do not bother to include any of the conditions included in the bill for late a******n to be allowed..

Why not be honest and post those conditions, then express your opinion of the bill?

I made a longer post on one of the other threads on this topic..

Please read it..

Gosnell was/is a real life monster.. I for one hope he suffers forever..

but he was far from the norm..

Nothing about his clinic should have gone undetected for a week, let alone the years he operated the h**eful place..
