President Trump's son-in-law pushing a plan to increase employer based visas
FRI, FEB 22th

McClatchy Newspapers provided further evidence this week of pressure on President Trump to increase immigration numbers.

This was on the heels of President Trump's remark last month at the State of the Union Address that he wants "people to come into our country in the largest numbers ever," and his affirmation of that sentiment last week at a Cabinet meeting when he said, "we have to have more people coming into our country."

McClatchy reported that the White House is ramping up efforts to increase employment based visas, emphasizing the role of Jared Kushner, President Trump's son-in-law, who serves as one of his senior advisors.

Kushner has organized meetings with what McClatchy describes as the President's "core constituencies," though some of the groups listed are corporate lobbyists who opposed President Trump when he previously insisted immigration policy must protect the interest of American workers.

The White House's current approach is a profound shift away from the rhetoric President Trump ran on as a candidate in 2016, and the policy approach he pursued last year, most notably his endorsement of the RAISE Act co-sponsored by Sens. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) and David Perdue (R-Ga.)

Specific details about what any proposal put forth by the White House might contain are not yet known. McClatchy quoted one participant in the recent meetings as saying that Kushner "is less interested in the finer details of immigration policy and focused on reaching a consensus."

It appears the consensus Kushner is focused on reaching is that immigration levels are too low, which has been the argument corporate lobbyists have been making for decades. A tightening labor market and a slight uptick in wages for workers have given them confidence they can convince the President that there is an urgent need to import more foreign labor.

It is true that employers are finding it more difficult to hire new employees, which means they have to raise pay and recruit from among the 50 million working-age Americans who are still on the sidelines. Rising wages and greater labor force participation by marginalized Americans is a great thing! Now is not the time for President Trump to undo the progress made and to embrace the very immigration polices he ran against.

There is no shortage of workers in America, only a shortage of good jobs for willing Americans.

Presidents son in law needs to GO. Pushing for open borders and a Palestinian state in the smallest of all mid eastern countries is shear lunacy. "America first", remember Mr. president. That's why many of us v**ed for you.

Well something’s obviously wrong I’m told by many others that he’s surrounded by t*****rs, progressives, NeoCons and worse.

That he’s likely already been c*********d.

I’m giving it till April Fools like millions of others and that’s it, we’re calling it in.

Trump’s base will begin to split sadly.

I’m very very disappointed to say the least.

Don’t worry the whole lot of them will be out of office and in jail before they can do much more damage. Mueller has a target on at least two of the Pumpkinfuhrers foul spawn and his crooked son in law. They will soon be enjoying the bridal suite at Leavenworth prison.

I don't know who convinces him 5G is great, but I do know we'll be walking around with open cancers on us.
Like the smart meter. Mine is behind my storage building. I don't know if that is protecting me or making the effects worse from being by metal.

You need to build a 18” barrier with foil and double Board backing to deflect any radio frequency vibrations etc...

I don't know.
Maybe you go up there with great intentions and the devils take you over.
Don't want to be within a hundred miles of them on judgment day.
