For years the claim has been that children raised by homosexual couples, or in families with three or more same sex "parents" do as well as children raised by heterosexual married couples. In the data gathering group that screened fifteen thousand young adults for a Regnerus study discovered that out of the fifteen thousand only two were with the same couple from birth to age eighteen. Not one had been raised by a same sex male couple from birth to age eighteen.. "These young adults (brought up by same sex parents) are more likely to report having been sexually touched by a parent or caregiver, and that they have been forced to have sex against their will , than those brought up by intact biological families.Twenty three percent of young adults whose mothers had a same sex relationship had been touched sexually by a parent or adult care giver, compared to 2 percent whose parents were continuously married.Twenty five percent of those whose fathers had a same sex relationship had been forced against their will to have a sexual relationship with one or both of the same sex parents, as compared to 8 percent of those who lived in married heterosexual households. While 90 percent of those whose parents were continuously married reported they were entirely heterosexual, only 68 percent of young adults brought up in same sex households reported that they were entirely heterosexual

A Canadian census data study reported that children living with gay and lesbian families were only 65 % as likely to graduate high school as children living in opposite sex marriage families.
The American College of Pediatricians summarizes the risk to children from same sex parents as follows: Research has demonstrated considerable risks to children living in a same sex household. Violence between same sex partners is two to three times more common as that among married heterosexual couples. Homosexual men and women are reported to be promiscuous, with serial partners. Homosexual life stye couples are more likely to experience severe mental illness than heterosexual, including substance abuse suicidal tendencies and shortened lifespans.These figures are consistent even in countries where homosexual behavior is widely accepted.
Given the current evidence the American College of Pediatricians stated that it believes it is inappropriate, potentially hazardous to children and dangerously irresponsible to change the age-old prohibition on same sex parenting, whether by adoption, foster care, or reproductive manipulation. Even though the damage to children from being raised in same sex households is very evident, the "Gay Right Agenda" has determined and demanded that they be allowed to adopt children, and they must be allow to have artificial insemination procedures just like infertile heterosexual couples, because it is their "right" And anyone who doesn't agree with them, or is h********c in any way should be quarantined and denied employment AND WE ARE DECLARED THE H**EFUL ONES AND THE HOMOSEXUAL COMMUNITY JUST WANTS TO GET ALONG. Jackasses and goats don't mix, but this beside the point. He has finally admitted that homosexual behavior is not normal, however. In one post in the last two days he said both of his adult daughters were "normal" meaning heterosexual, so, obviously he is saying that homosexuality is not normal. That is the only logical conclusion a thinking person can come to.

Yes they are scary. Even more so because the public isn't aware of the facts. If I had to put a baby up for adoption, I would make sure that he was going to a heterosexual married couple. I believe that if someone uses an agency they are not allowed ti discriminate however against homosexuals wanting to adopt kids. If someone knows differently please let me know with documentation.

I was adopted. I never knew how lucky i was that it was by a heterosexual couple. Your wisdom has given me much insight on this subject, for that i would like to thank you. Just wish i would've had a chance to thank my adoptive parents before they passed. Again thanks NPP

It appears that you were blessed with loving care from your parents. And they were that even though they were not your biological parents. I believe that they know how thankful you are. It is a good idea to say thank you in person every day to the good people who add joy to your life, as they are a gift from God.

There are several threads on similar subjects right now, so I thought it might be helpful to update this on. The book with the actual sources is at home,and I only brought the Kindle with me. Just got back from the VA hospital where the therapy dogs have had their last visit for now. they go to the nursing home tomorrow and then we leave for home Wednesday. Still packing the things for the Salvation Army and trying to figure out how to get furniture designed as a wedding gift 400 miles away without spending my last red cent to do so. Red cents are SOO hard to come by.

What you've presented here is exactly why (though admittedly not the only reason) I discard all pretense of civility and attack headlong some of the things homosexuals say here on OPP, as well as those who say them. Like Tom Riddle. My disgust for those who pervert children is boundless.

you are exactly right as far as homosexuals adopting children. The statistics and common sense indicate it is a horrible idea. The only ways it would be a smart move would be if the intention was to make sure that more people were screwed up, or if someone could PROVE without any doubt that all our behavior were in our genetic coding, including family, social sk**ls, and the physical raising of offspring. Once you go past those species where there is nothing but genetic coding, like flies, ants, and frogs, ALL species, from birds to all mammals have to learn what it means to be a dog, cow, or duck billed platypus. They are not born knowing all there is to know. Primates in particular must learn from their mothers, and then the troop (village) how to behave. Human behavior is predominately learned from the family and the community. If the family and/or the community are screwed up, the next generation will be worse. Are we frogs or people-that is the question. I haven't croaked yet (though there are some on OPP who may wish I had.)
