And here conservatives keep saying that it's us liberals who are the violent ones!

Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin said conservatives may need to turn to physical violence in order to protect the United States against contemporary liberalism.

The Republican governor put forth the controversial suggestion after speaking of the “degradation of society” during an impassioned, 15-minute speech at the Values V**er Summit in Washington, D.C., on Saturday. The provocative comments started to gain national attention at the start of this week.

“America is worth fighting for ideologically. I want us to be able to fight ideologically, mentally, spiritually, economically, so that we don’t have to do it physically. But that may, in fact, be the case,” he told the crowd.

Bevin suggested that if Democrat Hillary Clinton were elected president, she would set the nation on a dangerous course that might require bloodshed to correct. He told the audience that the “candle” of liberty might go out “on our watch.”

To hammer home his point, he paraphrased a famous quote from Founding Father Thomas Jefferson: “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”

“Whose blood will be shed? It may be that of those in this room. It might be that of our children and grandchildren. I have nine children,” he said. “It breaks my heart to think that it might be their blood that is needed to redeem something, to reclaim something that we, through our apathy and our indifference, have given away. Don’t let it happen.”

Bevin encouraged young conservatives to speak up, be bold, sound the alarm and wake up others. He told the conference attendees to not keep what they’ve learned from speakers and their books to themselves.

According to Bevin, too many people these days are following the example of former British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain, who infamously tried to appease Adolf Hitler and promised “peace for our time,” as opposed to his successor, Winston Churchill, who is widely celebrated for understanding and combating the threat of N**ism.

He said liberals mock conservatives into silence by accusing them of being intolerant when they speak their minds. He lamented, for instance, that many conservatives have remained silent concerning “the atrocity of a******n.”

“It’s a slippery slope. First we’re k*****g children. Then it’s ‘don’t ask, don’t tell.’ Now it’s this g****r-bending kind of ‘don’t ask, don’t be a bigot, don’t be unreasonable, don’t be unenlightened, heaven forbid, just keep your mouth shut.’”

On Friday, at a banquet in Washington, D.C., Bevin was awarded the Distinguished Christian Statesman Award from the D. James Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship, a ministry of Evangelism Explosion International.

Bevin’s office has not responded to a request for comment from Yahoo News, but he did post a statement on Twitter encouraging people to listen to his comments in their entirety. He suggested that the mention of bloodshed in his remarks was a reference to military sacrifice and that “any intelligent person will easily understand the message” if they listen to the speech.

Life is a learning experience. And one of the biggest lessons ever learned is that anything worth keeping is worth fighting for. As far as I am concerned Mister Bevin it's not the one that needs to back down here.
This social experiment of Fundamentally Changing the Culture of America has gone far enough So what did you think was going to happen in the long run?
Making America Great Again does have its pitfalls, but this will end not with a bang, but a wimper. Sorry!

What I think is going to happen in the long run is that where Capitalism fails then Socialism steps in. If you people are so dead set against Socialism than Capitalism needs to deliver affordable education and health care. If it doesn't then you can expect the government to step in and the only fault is that the economic system you so love doesn't work for the majority of the population. That's a bad thing in a democracy because the majority will always v**e in representatives who will deliver what they want!

Come on man, this entire experiment has been closely watched ever since it was started by Mr. Obama. Data has been collected, Polls have been taken, and the Media has been running the show
Now the results are in and no one wants to cry uncle. We will take this to our grave if need be.

What are you talking about? You guys just got your clocks cleaned in the last e******n and you are defending 22 senate seats in the next. On top of that, you are going to try to win a p**********l e******n with a man who is a national joke and will be lucky if he doesn't find himself in jail

Take wh**ever to your grave that you like but as I said--where Capitalism fails Socialism will step in. If you don't want this country to become more socialistic than the average person has to be able to afford health care and to send their child to a public college. If they can't do that then they will turn to government to do it for them. That's what's happened in the past and that is what will happen in the future. Karma has nothing to do with it--experience does...

Your new slogan should be casket liners before FEMA camps...your "movement" to take back the country and make america great again is a minority, otherwise known as a r*******n.

This country will be better off without the r****m and hatred that marks that minority.

I would bet a lot of people don't fight. I'd say a lot more won't than will. Remember how easy it was to herd people up after Katrina hit?

You are exactly right, people will not fight.
When the utilities are shut off, cell phones are turned off, the internet goes down, and homes sit in darkness, it's all over. We are 100% controlled in our daily lives!

I'd say you are correct.

A lot of people have no awareness that the national guard went through neighborhoods house by house seizing guns, the only resistance was an 80 year old woman with a pistol in her apron pocket.

I watched some of the videos taken and there was no resistance.

There is wisdom in seeming to cooperate knowing you have other guns and there will be another day. They can take them from my cold dead hands is armchair bluster, when the day comes the military is standing on your steps things look a whole lot different, all of a sudden it isn't such a great day to die.

Minority? Aaah...you think we can be pushed around, then?

I don't think you have the foggiest idea who thinks what in America...but by all means continue doing what you folks have done since Trump announced, underestimate him and us. P***e brings them all down sooner or later.

Name calling is a chickens**t way to communicate and I can promise you the police state authoritarians who have no problem with any kind of legal violations to get what they want will not have their way in America. Mewler is already a bust...so, on to the next bulls**t attempt at political assassination, right?

That's a weak way to do politics and so far nothing has worked. In fact, despite the nonstop assault, echo chamber (which by itself should tell you you're being propagandized) Trump's polling is OK.

Why don't you guys try talking issues?

That's true of every conflict if you think about it...but it matters not. Enough people will fight and I'm certain of this because prophecy says America will not be part of the world government. That's why despite the odds Klinton lost the e******n. If she had won we'd be at war with Russia in Syria right now and the 6th Trumpet War would have begun.

Watch how God works. He gives us enough of what we need to do what He means for us to do but often no more. At the last minute He will come through.

Katrina was one thing. This is very different. Trump is d**gging this out to give Americans as much time as he can to wake up from their sleep.

It does for those of us are willing to work for it --- wife and I both worked from the age of 16, neither wasted money on a useless college degree, both went to trade schools, obtained jobs, worked on our careers, became successful, raised a family, no child went to college, all have successful careers in their chosen profession, wife and I are retired on a comfortable income, own my own home and pay all of my own bills --- NEVER took a dime of gov't give away money. I don't need the gov't to take care of me --- I can take care of myself --- self reliance is the greatest form of confidence building I know, that is what I taught my children NOT the gov't owes you this !!!!!!!
