Just reading a new article on AOC's Green New Deal. It seems that there is a never ending parade of these jokers, actually stemming from back in 1947 and the post Hitler Germany.

AOC's Green New Deal would require us to get rid of almost ALL of our present day amenities. The car, the carbon fuel based power plant, the diesel engine (railroads, trucks, drilling rigs, heavy equipment, farm machinery). AOC's plan doesn't take into account, if she got her wish (along with the countless moonbats that support her) if we implemented her agenda, she would WALK to work the very next day. By the end of the week, the grocery store would be out of supplies. (No trucks to deliver the weeks goods) And of course, there is the 32 million or so people who would be displaced due to the f****l f**l extraction / refining / delivery system we have in place.

Oh, and of course, then there's the little fact that they all thump their drums about CO2 emissions.

Ya, CO2 is the culprit.

Somehow, science doesn't have anything to do with rationalization of the facts.

Humans emit CO2 as the breathing process.

Vehicles emit CO1 or carbon monoxide as emissions. And with the advent of ethanol in the gas, ethanol makes its own emission, totally ignored by the moonbat green crowd. There have been several reports written by scientists that illustrate how the addition of ethanol into gasoline has actually harmed us humans. For instance, now with ethanol in the gas, there has been an uptick in allergies and associated lung problems. For sure, the green crowd doesn't want to hear that.

Here's another for you green crowd lefties. Take away all the diesel engines, and where are you at..??

No more railroad engines moving massive trains across the country loaded with goods from around the world.

No more food deliveries to the grocery stores you love to frequent. Diesel powered trucks will be gone. Oh, and you'll have to walk everywhere as gasoline will be gone, no more drilling, no more refineries, no more trucks to deliver groceries or gas.

Diesel powered ships crossing the ocean will be gone.

No more drilling for oil, or supplies to the industry, as its almost all powered by - DIESEL...!!!

No more farming as almost all of the modern farm machinery is powered by - DIESEL...!!!

No more airliners flying you across the country, as JET FUEL is merely #1 - DIESEL...!!! (Kerosene)

One final note the moonbat left green crowd has missed, HUMANS will have to stop breathing. Ya, h**e to break it to ya, HUMANS are the major cause of CO2 emissions. H**e to break it to the green crowd, vehicles don't emit Carbon Dioxide. Vehicles emit Carbon Monoxide.

Perhaps a good start to curbing CO2 emissions is strangle all lawyers, lotta hot air CO2 pollution gone right there, stangle all of congress, lotta hot air CO2 pollution gone right there, muzzle and suffocate all of Washington, District of Crooks, lotta hot air CO2 pollution gone right there, .....

With the entire system gone for f****l f**l extraction, refining, and delivery we won't need the EPA. With airlines gone, we won't need the FAA. With Trucks gone, we won't need DOT and their basket of associated c*******m. With railroads gone we won't need the RRC... With all that gone, who's going to be left to pay taxes,....??? So we just as well eliminate the IRS....

BUT.... where in the world is AOC gonna get all her gov freebies now..?? Well, at least with 85% or so of the economy gone, there will be a dramatic increase in people needing a free paycheck. So at least AOC is spot on in that regard. Since about 90 million jobs will be eliminated, there's about 90 million people that will need free health care.

Of course, the one thing AOC doesn't get and can't get on her coffee shop mentality, take away 90 million or so jobs, take away 90 million or so out of the taxpayer base..... who will be left to pay for all her democratic socilaist insanity...???

Ya, she and her moonbat followers didn't and can't think of that one.

Just reading a new article on AOC's Green New Deal... (show quote)
The green new deal dosn’t make internal combustion engines illegal, nor does it shut down the economy it simply moves our nation forward in a manner that encourages carbon neutral infrastructure. Every train in the nation is electric, many of them have electric drive motors supplied by diesel powered generators others are fed by overhead or rail electric coming from utilities. The latter can be powered by carbon neutral sources. Think about the miles long trains going across northern Arizona, New Mexico and Texas. Wind and solar farms in the empty desert could power them rather than new coal plants. There would be no job loss as the equipment must still be built, installed and maintained. I am betting you own at least a couple cordless power tools. The advancement in battery technology has been amazing and you see them on job sites you never would have just two decades ago. Similar technologies are going into electric vehicles. This is bringing the cost of these vehicles down, they can be powered by a carbon neutral grid and are usually charged at night when power demand is low. High speed trains can eliminate the need for short haul air travel between cities, and eliminate the misery of the airport. More room, lessened security hassle and arriving down town rather than at an airport in a distant suburb. The thing you need to worry about is automation, right now there is a shortage of truck drivers but in a few years they will be out of a job due to driverless vehicle development. What we need to focus on is not a future of Americans being deprived but how to manage a much more automated society where fewer people need to work.

Hey genius, where do you think this electricity for all these electric cars, and trains comes from? Yep usually coal fired plants or other so-called f****l f**ls? It doesn't come out of thin air. All you're doing by mandating electric cars or trains is requiring additional work-intensive efforts of manufacturing them to use electricity which comes from those same ol' boogymen, f****l f**ls or coal.
As a patent-holding former research chemist working in hydrocarbon research for Dow Chemical, I can tell you that the term renewable energy is a misnomer. It incorrectly suggests that oil and coal aren't being renewed. The fact is that the oil supply is constantly being renewed. So is coal.
All living matter is composed of hydrocarbons. When it dies it's broken down into hydrocarbons which over time becomes the oil and coal we can extract from the ground. So even today, all that dead and decaying biomass including all vegetation, is forming oil and coal. So it's continually being renewed. The term "f****l f**ls" simply means that the vegetation or animals died eons ago.
All this g***n e****y BS is merely a new altar on which i***ts like you can worship in furtherance of less freedom for the individual.

Actualy power does come out of thin air and it has been utilized to sail the worlds seas for centuries. Not to mention pump water, grind grain and generate electricity. To consider f****l f**ls as renewable is a joke, as the degredation of matter to form new oil and coal will take millions of years. There are obviously bigger and bigger parts of our grid fueled by wind, solar and geothermal sources, switching to these sources now rather than down the road makes sense. Efficiency in everything from insulation to LED light sources reduces the overall use of energy with little or no downside. It is foolish to prop up archaic technology instead of adapting new technology that better serves us and has a lot less negative impact on the planet.

Leave it to Kevyn to get right into the weeds so as to muddy up the water. Your initial post was extolling the Green New Deal and how electric cars and trains would be such a panacea.
As an avid sailor, I’m well acquainted with the ability of the wind to move my sailboat on SF bay. Beyond that I’ve never seen any ocean going tankers powered by anything other than internal combustion engines. Wonder why. They have to sail across oceans to make deliveries. And sailboats do it all the time. But the tankers are on a schedule.
Same applies to solar powered appliances. My large solar panel array is simply not adequate to run tools for long so I always just fire up the, you guessed it, gasoline generator.
Hydrocarbons can’t be beat for the amount of energy they contain. Wind or solar don’t even come close. No contest!

Without a need for oil what would the tankers be hauling?

Bingo! But Kevyn doesn't understand supply and demand. Or the world economy. He'd rather chase unicorns, rainbows and fairy dust.
