Wait, I thought everyone was saying the attack never occurred in the first place, now it not only occurred but he planned it all? No persecution here, in fact, less than none as I am waiting to see what the outcome is before deciding what I feel about the case. I don't know if it happened, I don't know who was behind it, I know far too little about the case to form an opinion about it at all.

We are "innocent" of action until proven to be guilty of it in a court of law which looks at the presented concrete evidence of that particular act. This is a reversal of the Vatican presupposition of European Law during the Middle Ages. Anyone in our country has a right to voice an opinion about anything; but until it is followed by action, it is merely words and falls DOA.

Not ALL convictions here are based on "concrete evidence", many are based on circumstantial evidence as often, that is all there is to be had. If convictions were only handed down on "concrete evidence", we wouldn't have ANY innocent people convicted, as it is, we are finding an alarming number of people ARE convicted while innocent of the crime they are convicted on. *

It is like that or worse in every judicial system. No judicial system can be perfect, we can only strive for the best we can create.

* We also would run into situations where guilty people walk regardless of their obvious guilt when ALL circumstantial evidence is considered together if we did not allow for circumstantial evidence in criminal proceedings. Again, a "perfect" system is a pipe dream, we can only strive for the best we can create.
