You have a treasure at your disposal. We have the curendero here in NM, healers with ancient remedies. Most in the mainstream Health community dismiss them as quacks or their adherents as superstitious neanderthals. In 1988, I had a sore throat. My curendero suggested I massage my right foot, around the big toe. As soon as I tried there was some pain. But in less than a day my throat problem was resolved. Try telling that to a doctor.

That was my first visit to a doctor since 1970. Given I was 72, the staff there was somewhat incredulous I had no prescriptions or other restrictions. It turned out I had a-fib, atrial fibrillation; an arrhythmia that causes the heart to off and on to race. There was also systolic heart failure. Was a bit shocked at the severity of my condition. And more bad news: my heart needed repair with two stints.

At some point, the question came up about about a Living Will and my wishes for the extent of treatment. I did not hesitate to say DNR, "Do Not Resuscitate." When they asked if I would agree to the stints, it took me a few hours to decide. I had basically done this to myself with my lifestyle. Should I just let consequences, nature, take its just cause? Or was that more like suicide? I took the stints. It seemed okay to prolong my life with that procedure. But I regretted it later, as well as accepting drugs to help manage my condition. Yet I take my meds dutifully everyday. Not so easy to allow death, no matter one's convictions.

My only point here is for all to give long and serious thought to end of life choices. It is a week now from my diagnosis. My prognosis is fairly decent. The stints have approved the functioning of my heart. The meds are allowing me the chance to end the a-fib in a month through two methods. Exercise and diet will help, but I always said I would never alter wh**ever-I-want-to-eat menu. That is cruel. So I still eat wh**ever. (Love steak fat and all other fat, and salt, and sugar.) My Cardiologist says if all goes well I could have another ten healthy years. Should I bother? The end will come, why not just let it come?

In Japan message of is often used to treat medical conditions. Heated rocks are also used... I do not know why it works, perhaps it increases blood flow, relaxation, or it could be the faith involved.... I guess it does not matter the why it works, it matters that it does work. I also think that vibrations.... as in sound.... can aid in healing.

So, hang in there and do take the medicine or if you feel comfortable, go see your curandero (healer/bone manipulator). And keep your spirits up, enjoy the small things and let go of what makes you angry (as I believe that anger harms the body and mind), trade off.... one good thing that makes you smile and let go of of being upset about something..... you will notice in a short time, you will feel happier and healthier.

Be well !

You are absolutely right about anger being very bad healthwise. I used to be an explosive hothead. Overly outspoken as well.
That was, I think, the biggest contributor to my blood pressure problem. It was, and still is sometimes, hard to change, but I've done it, and no longer require medication.

Thank you. Never heard of it before and was not written down in any of my paperwork.

I agree with that. I exercise vigorously every day and have for 46 years.
Ain't nuthin wrong with me yet, despite the hope from some that I lose my health out of fairness to age.
I'm too old to die young, but I'm young enough to die really old. It's attitude and activity.

ABSOLUTELY! And lucky you to have your great grandma's wisdom.

Could not agree with you more. So my reluctance to their med control of my condition. It mandates, it seems, my total reliance on chemicals that mess with my natural ability to heal. Whole body and systems is not the Medical way. Correct this and then deal with this. Their perspective is fixated on isolated problems, which they can help, but eventually leads to other problems.

Yep. Maybe there is a good naturopath ( I mean one who knows his/her stuff) who can give you options to chemicals. Often, lots of water, fresh foods and daily prayer/meditation do the trick So many forget that prayer is our turn to talk and meditation is God's turn to talk

Excellent points, if I do say so myself. Your suggestions were first on my "Chrysalis Program."

Debeda, who ever you are, you are a very good person.
You remind me of my sister, who is known for her saintly ways.
She got it all, I didn’t get any.
But you got it!

Awe... very sweet, Mikey. But I'm sure there's a punch line in there somewhere
