If the Congress (again, not just democrats) was not so obstructive, the El Chapo billions could easily pay for a barrier, border patrol wages AND electronics. That being said, I agree with the President calling a national emergency, and if he can't get the caught drug lord's money he should use money earmarked for illegal drug control. This border nonsense, like so many other bizarre programs, has gone far enough and needs to be nipped in the bud.

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - More than one-third of U.S. Nobel prize winners in chemistry, medicine and physics are immigrants, a new report shows.

The report, released Thursday by the National Foundation for American Policy, a conservative research group, shows that since 2000, two dozen immigrants won Nobels in those fields, out of 68 U.S. prizewinners in chemistry, medicine and physics.

The NFAP hopes the research shows the contributions of immigrants in important fields will bolster the chances for the passage of immigration reform, which has been mired in Congress this term.

While the U.S. Senate passed an immigration bill last year, the measure has stalled in the House of Representatives where Republicans remain deeply split over what to do about the more than 11 million undocumented U.S. residents. Many Republicans want to await the outcome of November’s e******ns before revisiting the issue.

Common core... this was put together by a number of state governors, most of whom were republicans.

CC was open to choice and some states, like Minnesota did not accept all of the guide lines..

While it has been declining for 20 years or so, we can look to these practices for guidance..

Upgrading the search methods of vehicles moving through port of entry..

Drones are proving effective and will be more so..

But number one should be finding a way for the immigrants themselves to know that the correct way to apply for entry is at the P o E... Not getting dumped by the smugglers on a desert back road and hoping to outrun pursuit.
