I've worked law enforcement for 16 years and have arrested a multitude of i******s, I can assure you Trump's version of reality is MUCH more realistic than the Dems. Go back to your land of unicorns and rainbows.

Rising Texas Democratic star Beto O’Rourke held a competing rally just half a mile from Donald Trump’s campaign event in El Paso on Monday night, and he blew the president out of the water with a message of unity and optimism.
While Trump stuck to his usual r****t campaign strategy of demonizing immigrants, O’Rourke leaned heavily on the same optimistic message that helped him come within three points of unseating Texas Sen. Ted Cruz last November.
“We can show the rest of the country, as we make our stand here together tonight, that walls do not make us safer,” O’Rourke said before a raucous crowd. “We stand for America, and we stand against walls.”

Video:

O’Rourke said:
Walls do not make us safer. Walls will require us to take someone’s property, their house, their farm, their ranch, to build a wall at a time of record-low northbound apprehensions, at a time that El Paso is not the outlier in the cities on the border. … The U.S. cities of the U.S.-Mexico border are far safer than the U.S. cities deeper in the interior of the United States of America.

Walls do not save lives. Walls end lives. In the last 10 years, more than 4,000 children, women and men have died trying to come to this country, to work jobs that no one will take, to be with a family member, to flee horrific brutality and violence and death in their home countries.
O’Rourke also took a sledgehammer to the president’s lies about his home city, saying that it’s safe, “not because of walls, but in spite of walls; secure because we treat one another with dignity and respect. ”----MORE---

O’Rourke beat Trump on his signature issue

Donald Trump has made immigration and his proposed vanity wall on the southern border the centerpiece of his political career. Heck, he kept the government shut down for 35 days over the issue.
While a majority of Americans have consistently opposed the president’s d******e approach to immigration, he has still had success in hijacking the issue and using it to mobilize his base of v**ers.---MORE---

Why would walls REQUIRE you to take someone's property. As far as I am aware, that only happened under Obama when he decided to leave the areas where there was great need for a wall, and where no private property would need to be taken, to build where a wall on the border was unfeasible so he built well inland from the border, through private property, and where and how it was ineffective. But elsewhere where walls were built before Obama, private property has not been split, and the walls have helped considerably.

Not according to DHS or even by only CBP. CBP has apprehended 60,000 per month for the last few months. https://www.cbp.gov/newsroom/stats/cbp-enforcement-statistics Note that in the chart that the numbers usually peak in the summer. Yet this year and in 2017, the numbers are high in Jan. If the caravans keep coming, the summer peak can be higher than ever.

So because some of the Democratic run cities have high crime and violence, he thinks we should ignore crime and violence elsewhere?

Yes. They have died in border areas where there are NO walls. Since the deaths have severely reduced where walls have been built, this is evidence that walls help SAVE lives on both sides of the border. See the chart#2 for border deaths BEFORE walls had been built in portions of east AZ and west NM.

If this were true, crime rate would be roughly the same on each side of the wall. In Ciudad Juarez the crime rate is even higher than Chicago. There are sometimes 20 or more murders a day. And that does not count violent crime which does not end in murder. If the wall did nothing to prevent such violence from spilling into El Paso, why is El Paso's crime rate so low right up against an extremely high crime rate area with the only thing separating them being a wall? https://www.elpasotimes.com/story/news/local/juarez/2018/06/29/juarez-mexico-border-city-murders-rise-violent-crime-june-2018/743653002/

Using polls who demographics lean heavily to Democrats and Socialists to prove what the majority wants is disingenuous at best. The majority changes depending on who is polled. Show me a poll where there are equal numbers of people from the left and right polled. Show me a poll where there are equal numbers of rural Americans and urban Americans.

There you are wrong. They are citizens of Mexico. And how Mexico treats its citizens is another issue entirely!

Mexicans (illegal border crossers) are not citizens (of the US)...

Hence the treatment (which is different from the treatment accorded to American citizens and legal foreigners)...

Better?

Trump's "reality" is of his own making. He ignores anyone whose intel doesn't correspond with his own theories.

Guess what Bob?
We don't care about Beto and Texas is going to build it's own wall.

Dems reality is anything against Trump, If he said the sky was blue they would insist that it is green. Again, most of the prominent Dems have switched their positions on the wall since Trump was elected. During the campaign, everyone wanted a wall and said they would build it. Now that Trump is President, all of a sudden the Dems say its a bad idea. Check it out.

My father-in-law immigrated here from Mexico, legally. He had absolutely no use for those who aren't here legally. He worked hard, owned his own business, and passed away at 82. You are right. Those who played by the rules don't appreciate the c***ters

Nope. The wall was Trump's thing: "A big beautiful wall that Mexico will pay for--I promise you".
