Personally I believe the President should take the money the demoncraps have offered and arm American Citizens at the border. Angel Mom's first! They won't like that at all!

Though the number of Border Patrol agents has more than doubled (9,212 to 19,437) since 2000, Border Patrol apprehensions are a quarter of what they were then.
A fence or wall designed to keep people from evading the Border Patrol might help with one kind of border crossing, but there's a newer phenomenon.
A rising number of families and unaccompanied minors aren't trying to evade Border Patrol. They simply cross illegally and turn themselves over to agents in hopes of asking for asylum. Those apprehensions jumped from fiscal year 2017 to fiscal year 2018:
