The Mexican government was paid to open their borders but
It’s going to backfire on them. When the northern border is fullll of caravaners including criminals and terrorists , they’ll regret their actions.

You are so wrong. My income/profits would be twice as much if I stopped helping my fellowman.
I live in a large county that has no industry the only jobs are in local grocery stores, service stations or cutting ligs or paperwood. Half fhe population is on welfare and food stamps
Back in the 1930s Grandpaw let the TVA people build four military style barracks for the government workers in and around the Homochitto National Forrest area that was working in the area.
Once their work was finished the barracks were diven to Grandpaw for letting them use the area for their workers. It included a large kitchen and dinning area. Over the years they were unused but kept in good repair.
Around 1946-7 Grandpaw started hiring homeless WW-2 veterans for pittling jobs like rakeing pine straw, cleaning brush, fire lanes and simple jobs like that.
The men lived in the barracks and got three hot meals a day and a warm bed to sleep in. Even free tobacco and a few brewed Grandpaw secret corn squeezing.
Grandpaw even got a government permit to make it legal. Later as more homeless vets from Korea were hired and began planting seedlings to sell to the turpentine producers in Florida.
After Vietnam and Grandpaw bought me home out of the VA hospital my Sgt major and six other of my men came with him. They have been with me since 1963 when they were in my company in Vietnam. We served together and are still together today except for one who is resting in the family cemetery here on the farm.
We are having to hire more young locals due to our expansion of 510 acres. That's 25 new jobs for the local economy. We are building a trailer park on the 10 acres the house is locoted on. This way the family men can live on the farm. The couple that live in the house, the wife is on the payroll as a cook for the men doing the cleanup of stumps and limbs getting ready to plant Christmas trees.
I am the largest employeer in the county. I only pay minimum wages but the fringe benefits of free housing, utilities and meals make up for the low wages. The married women are also enployed as cooks or maids making up beds in the bachelors barracks. Two of the barracks have been converted into one bedroom and a bath apartments for married couples.
This un addition to the New Year, Valentine's, fourth of July, Thanksgiving and Christmas parties we throw for needy famlies. The welfare and local churches help with toys and clothing and t***sportation for the needy families. I do not deduct this from taxes I pay even though my tax expert advuses me to.
I try to share what God bless me with.

Those in the bottom 50% of incomes are the ones that struggle to make ends meet and are finding that not only have their wages not kept up with inflation, they are now finding they owe federal income taxes because of trumpy's tax cuts for the wealthy and corporations. Trump's "best ever" economy is not working for them. Yep, that "I got mine, screw you" attitude is typical.

I am nor in the top 1% and paid twice as much in tax this year than 2016 Omama policy kept my sales low for 8 years. Now with his stupid policy gone my sales and profits have doubled and so has my income tax. $335,689.50.
From the last year of obams policy sales were so low I only paid $150,698.50 so my taxes jumped up another $185,000.00 due to doubling my sales under the Trump administration.
I added close to 50 new employees and expanded my operations in a 6 year program expansion. There's not many jobs available in the area but I help my fellow man as much as possiable.

From the report I heard the guards "accidentally " forgot to lock the gates and left their post and let them slip through. If you believe that I have a couple bridges I will sell you real cheap.

I owe it all to grandpaw because he taught me to be conservative and help my fellow man. He set the example of hiring homeless veterans back in 1946 or 1948 and I just continued it. Now there are very few homless vets.
But there are enough young struggling couples that jump at the minimum wage jobs.
Now most people want to start at the top or get $15.00 per hour. That won't happen down here in the Mississippi boondocks where one is lucky to get even s minimum wages job.
I know it sunds like I am taking advantage of them but they have a roof over their heads, clean sheets on the beds, three hot meals per day, free lights, gas water, satellite TV it adda up.
Married couples have a private room and bathroom. On the new 510 acres there will be house trailers for the married couples in a few months.
Add it all together and it's a darn good job. All they have to pay for is any special foods they want or personal items or save their money for a car or truck.
The employees like the set up. Payday comes the only deductions are social security tax. Usually their wages are low enough they won't have to pay any income taxes.
They liks it and I like it.
The government gers enough of our money to waste anyway.
