Veteran-Run Company Rejected by CBS over Pro-F**g, Anti-Kaepernick Super Bowl Ad

In a country where free speech is protected by a constitutional amendment, it is always interesting to see what exceptions to that protection the left comes up with.

Liberals celebrated the “free speech” expression of football players such as Colin Kaepernick taking a knee on the field. However, free speech against that action has been criticized by the left and sometimes referred to as being “r****t.”

Now, according to the Washington Examiner, CBS has reportedly rejected a “pro-f**g, anti-Kaepernick ‘Just Stand’” Super Bowl ad from a veteran-run company.

Nine Line Apparel, a Savannah, Georgia, company founded by a veteran in 2012, created an ad that celebrates the brave individuals who sacrifice all for the benefit of others, including those who criticize them or take a knee against what they stand for.

What reason was given for the rejection?

Super Bowl LIII advertising rates are running about $5.25 million for a 30-second spot, according to USA Today. Nine Line claims that CBS did not believe the 45-second ad could be paid for by the apparel company, The Washington Examiner reported.

Nine Line has about $25 million a year in revenue, according to the newspaper.

Nine Line Apparel CEO Tyler Merritt told the Examiner he suspected CBS had another reason.

“CBS’s purported reason for rejecting a Super Bowl commercial that extols patriotism is totally out of bounds,” he said.

“Let’s call this what it is: A blatant attempt to censor a message that their politically correct executives find offensive. We urge Americans who believe it’s important to show respect for our f**g and national anthem to join us in calling out this offensive bias. It’s time to give a penalty f**g to CBS.”

Here’s the ad. The narration was done by Mark Geist, the former Marine and security contractor who survived the 2012 terrorist attack in B******i.

Among other things, Geist said in the ad, “Some people think you’re crazy for being loyal, defending the Constitution, standing for the f**g. Then I guess I’m crazy.”

“For those who kneel, they fail to understand that they can kneel, and they can protest, that they can despise what I stand for, even h**e the t***h that I speak, but they can only do that because I am crazy enough.”

The apparel company launched its “Just Stand” T-shirts campaign in response to Nike’s se******n of Kaepernick to be a face of its brand, according to the Savannah Morning News. Merritt explained the launch at the time.

“Nike took a stand. This is ours,” he said. “They will never understand what it’s like to lose a friend overseas, carry him back home with an American f**g draped over his casket, and hand that f**g over to his wife and children.”

The “about us” page for Nine Line Apparel makes it clear that the company’s goal is to unite, not divide, the country.

“Our goal is to bridge the gap between civilians and service members, whether they are military veterans, law enforcement, or first responders,” the page states.

“At Nine Line, we know that only united can the American people fight injustice and preserve our freedom and independence. We aim to be a voice for the people, a channel through which patriotic Americans can make themselves heard.”

That’s a powerful message for all of America, even if it isn’t going to be played during the Super Bowl.

You can't run the dialog on what taking a knee means to anyone except the one doing it for the reasons they say it is for.

It was a weak ad and message, and entirely false.

Lame excuse. Mark Geist is real hero who sacrificed more than most will ever know. Colin K. was a two bit football player who was disliked by team members and was manipulated by an activist girlfriend into giving the finger to people who just wanted to watch football without politics. He doesn't know the first thing about sacrifice.

Shame on CBS for caving in to the disease of political correctness. You either believe in free speech or you don't.

Shame on people who make excuses for CBS. Either we have free speech or we don't.

First, it was the IRS, then it spread to Silicon Valley and the tech companies, and now it's the MSM. Anybody see a pattern here?

But it is obvious to everybody with brain thought. Black criminals commit crimes, a cop tries to arrest them, they resist, they get k**led, then they blame the cop for it. The REASONING is that black players for the National Felon League think its okay for cops to k**l WHITE criminals to refuse to listen to cops orders, but not okay for Black criminals who do the same thing.

Grow up. Taking a knee is not saying "they can despise what I stand for, even h**e the t***h that I speak," it has nothing whatsoever to do with that. A little too whiny. It is a protest against systemic racial discrimination by law enforcement. Well proven. It has nothing to do with disrespect for this nation, f**g, or national anthem. Thinking otherwise is r****t.

Then they should contact their elected reps to solve the problem, or, start a political action group and buy ads and promote the change they desire. They could afford it. Demanding everyone submit to their way of demonstrating their grievances was out of line. The people v**ed with their remotes and wallets, the kneelers lost. Deal with it. They should have hired a PR team. They wanted free air time and tried to do it on the cheap. Just like raising the black fist at the Olympics. Not the place or the time. The problem is cities run by DEMs. Always has been, even during the Civil Rights r**ts in the south.

Thinking otherwise is not "r****t" as you claim it's rational. If any of us did the same thing on our employer's dime we'd be fired and rightly so.

It's oh so easy to cherry pick instances and claim systematic racial discrimination all the while ignoring black on black crime. The t***h is the vast majority of those claiming r****m are ignorant of law enforcement in general and what they go through. They're not perfect by any means but people like Colin K. and many democrats fuel r****m rather than actually doing anything about it. Members of the party are being played by the leadership and its all for v**es and power.
