Make a layer of onion rings 2 inches deep in an oval roasting pan. Cut up a fryer-roll your pieces in flour and salt and pepper. Brown them in a pan with hot oil turning frequently for an even brown.--- Drain your chicken pieces then arrange them on top of the bed of onion rings in your oval roaster.---Bury the chicken with the remaining onion rings you will have. --- Put a lid on the roaster and place it in the oven at 325 degrees for 90 minutes. Serve with Mashed taters .gravy and corn.

I have a similar recipe... But add garlic and chili peppers to the mix... Also like to add about a 1/3 can of beer... Find that it makes for a more tender chicken...
