I don't want to "fight it out" with anyone. But, I would like to be able to make a statement(s) without the incessant insanity of a few on this site. I have no problem with them....they have a problem with me.....or, more succinctly, with what I think....and the fact it doesn't agree with their line of thought.
The thing is with me, I don't adhere to any strict party line, but look for what is best for the country. LOL, and there doesn't seem to be much "good" anywhere in the US where politicians are concerned today. So, guess I'll keep looking.
I have found, though that my direct approach to others sometimes is taken as something other than just stating my opinion. That is probably because I've come on and off this site several times, frustrated with the above mentioned insanity, and am determined to wade through their chit and slop it all over them in the process. Guess I just got tired of it.....and will tolerate it no more.
I have found there to be some highly intelligent individuals here; and I thoroughly enjoy sharing back and forth with them....and....Golly!....they aren't afraid of a differing opinion.
I bear no one any ill will, but would appreciate, as I imagine all of us would, forbearance from all...tolerance....consideration.....which is what I attempt to give and return in discourse with others.

And, by the way....I put up my first topic a day or so ago...in capital letters. The moderator contacted me, and asked that that not occur again. I wrote him back and apologized, and also ask him one, to me, pertinent question. His reply was that he is working on an "IGNORE" for those to whom we do not wish to communicate. Yipee! I will thoroughly appreciate that addition to OPP....and I hope he hurries.
Hope you all have a good evening...and I agree that civility is far preferable to rancor.

That is a suggestion that I think many of us would use. They have a buddy list, an ignore list would be great! Thank you for making that recommendation to those that run this mad house.

On another note. Speak your mind. Really, always be honest and do not let the madness get to you. You are important to this site. Keep h*****g in there!!

Should I let you know where I post next? That way you do not have to waste your time in trying to find me so you can post to me. I know that you are following me from thread to thread because I took your boyfriend to task. Incidentally, he cried uncle.

I have no complaints, I have observations. There is a difference.

You too sound familiar. Perhaps because there are foolish, self righteous, well educated, charming, loveable, detestable, incorrigible, talented, and religious people in every state within the USA. For that matter, probably all over this world.

OLFW, the only "issue" I have in your case is that I believe that it will be many more years until you are actually, "old." Much too sharp and clear thinking to claim, "oldness." I have enjoyed everything I've seen from you in the short time I've been here and hope you stick around to keep the hidebound rigid thinkers a little bit honest. Even when they refuse to accept.
