All arguing against a wall/barrier are stupid. We know the effectiveness of current barriers even if there are attempts to circumvent it. And the totality of the money is not for the wall/barrier.

Trump campaigned on it as part of border security and he won. The demo, who once wanted the barrier, now want to win so they have flipped for politics sake. Obama even declared the border to be a humanitarian crisis which we needed to fix back in 2014.
Trump knows all this. He could care less about being reelected. He will out last the i***ts, period. The i***ts are costing more by leaving the gov closed than the amount Trump is asking for.
