Trump as president has the prerogative to make small talk with Putin or anyone else without providing dot to dot talking points to ppl ready to stab him in the back. I wouldn't trust of his staff given the history of the press thumbing their nose at secrecy or sworn confidentiality.

and then the press runs a story complaining they haven't been handed enough fodder to kick Trump in the a$$ some more; and they whine about this non problem because they want a blithe American public to not process that this doesnt constitute collusion. I think Trump could sing the Star Spangled Banner to Putin and WaPo and NYT would allege it was spy code.

and also the Press is so desperate to connect Trump to anything Russia.

I heard on the news today speculation paraded as fact that because Russia attempted to exploit the e******n this was undoubtedly what was going on behind closed doors at the Putin Trump mtg. How would that even work? Its not Like Trump was Striding in to polling places after returning from his trip and tinkering with v****g machines.
