Lone Wolf: Trump AND the Democrats shut down part of the government.
Trump understands the "art of the deal" which includes compromise.
The Democrats refuse to compromise.
The leaders of the Democrats have advocated a wall in the past. Many have v**ed for walls on our southern border.
People must realize that Democrats and their media lackeys oppose ANYTHING TRUMP ADVOCATES or does.
They are filled with illogical h**e and an unbridled lust for power. Democrats in DC and the media act like other left wing ideologues, N**is and C*******ts.

WRONG! Both houses passed a spending bill which Trump said he would sign. Then when he got it he changed his mind because there was no funding for the wall. At that point he should have vetoed the bill. Then congress could have overridden the veto. That's how our government is supposed to work. For two years the Republican wimps in charge did not have the balls to oppose Trump on anything. So just before Christmas he shuts down the government. People had already scheduled vacations. Pelosi is saying no because the House of Reps is in charge of expenditures which the Senate has to approve or not. The only power the president has is to sign or veto the bill. But since Trump thinks he is a king he shuts down the government instead. When he met with a group of congress people the great negotiator walked out of the meeting because he didn't immediately get his way.

Oh come on UC, what's the point in attending a meeting when the first thing out of Pelosi's mouth is "no wall, no negotiation"? I applaud Trump for walking out!

What’s wrong with this picture?

Trump gave up his Christmas vacation trying to close a deal with the Dems to fund the border wall. The Dem’s went home to celebrate.

Trump has offered concessions, but the Dem’s have flat out refused to consider them. They refuse to negotiate.

While the President remains in the Oval Office To Close the deal, the Democrats bask in the sun on the beaches in Puerto Rico.

Their obvious lack of concern for America and the Federal Worker is appalling!

Desperate need when just a few days delay so far on ONE PAYCHECK.
People losing homes after 1/2 month with no paycheck.
Most fed. Layedoff workers will get back pay when the Dems decide to be responsible and end the shutdown while they fund the wall so fed workers, their families and all Americans can be safer re alien criminals, drug smuggling, and rapes.
But no, that's not important. Undermining our President is important to Dems and their media pals

"Thin skinned"? You have to be kidding, right? He's a straight talking NYC street fighter not afraid to get in the gutter and wrestle with the socialist democrats. When Pelosi made that ignorant opening statement, Trump walked refusing to waste his time. Why bother when all Pelosi & Schumer would do is obstruct?

Trump is rude and crude. He is always angry at someone. He addresses his critics by tweeting nasty replies. He sends his chief of staff to fire people or announces it on twitter.
What he should have done is veto the bill that both houses had v**ed on and then call the meeting to discuss border security, including but not limited to a wall. Shutting down the government is the act of a cowardly dictator. If he declares a national emergency that is another dictatorial act Do you really want a government shutdown every time Congress disagrees with him?
