In the movie coming out this summer, "No Place Like Utopia", they travel to different parts of the country – Detroit, Chicago, Newark, Washington DC, Denver, Miami – where there has been long term Democrate only leadership. There they meet people who have been seduced by utopian promises, only to realize they have been had, and no longer had a home left.

They continued to accept promise after promise that have all turned out to be empty, all turned out to be lies. The people I met who supported the progressive promise were literally living on government handouts, delapidated housing, abandoned houses and tents. Everything had changed for the worse – Detroit, South Side Chicago, Newark. Fifty years of progressive control of these cities demonstrated that no one was progressing, they were all regressing.

Throughout history, millions of people followed charlatans like Mao, Stalin, Ho Chi Mihn, Pol Pot, Castro — they all promised to create a Utopia, a paradise on earth, but instead, the people who followed them all arrived to a hell on earth – they were sent to the gulag, they were starved, and mass murdered by Utopians.

The word Utopia is from the Greek, it means “no Place.” Utopia is an imaginary, perfect society, heaven on earth, where everyone is happy. In Utopia, man has been perfected, all human beings are equal, and they think and act the same.

The idea of a perfect society was first mentioned by Plato in his work The Republic in 380 BC. The word “Utopia” was coined by Sir Thomas More in his 1516 book Utopia, in which he depicted a fictional island paradise in the Atlantic Ocean. In 1848, Karl Marx wrote in the C*******t Manifesto that it is historically inevitable for societies to pass through four stages: feudalism, capitalism, socialism, and finally c*******m. In c*******t society, Marx described a “workers paradise” where perfect happiness and universal fulfillment would be achieved though the abundance of goods and services that only a government controlled society could produce – Utopia!

In the modern era, socialists adopted the fictional idea of Utopia, Marx’s worker’s paradise, as a realistic blueprint for the nation state. Ruling over “paradise,” the leader of c*******t society was considered to be “God on earth.” However, the Marxist model was a disaster. Every country that adopted the Utopian ideology suffered economic devastation and biological destruction as 110 human beings were k**led in peacetime through starvation, gulags, political repression, and murder in an attempt to mold human beings to fit into Utopia.

In the beginning, c*******ts, progressives, used the phraseology like “we are going to organize the working man to fight and make a revolution, and o*******w the government.” Obama’s pals like Bill Ayers used this kind of rhetoric, and they acted on it. They planted bombs at the Pentagon, and murdered policemen, believing that the working classes would spontaneously join their c*******t revolution to destroy America.

But it didn’t work. It turned people off because it was evil. No normal person would want to bring down America and replace the constitution we were bequeathed by our founding fathers with the C*******t Manifesto. So into the 1970s, and by the early 80s, progressives realized they could not o*******w the government from the outside. They decided that if they changed their rhetoric, they could trick average Americans into supporting them, take power, and then use the power to bring down America from within.

And since the 1980s, the progressives, which they now call themselves rather than c*******ts, have slowly and successfully taken over the Democrat Party. Today their public terminology has become ever more benevolent. “We want to help to middle class families,” “we want fairness,” “we are problem solving” and “we want to help poor people” or just “change.” Fill in the blanks.

But make no mistake, today, the Democrat Party is a radical socialist party. For example, their leader is considered perfect and God-like, he cannot be criticized. There is no opposition within the Democrat Party. Any opposition from the outside the Democratic Party is considered to be evil. This is because socialism is a religion, it’s faith. If you don’t believe in their human God and their fantasy of Utopia, paradise on earth, you are the enemy. And who is God’s enemy? The devil. So, of course, you are the devil and you are evil because you oppose the one true God, the God on earth.

The Democrats tell this story every day. Good versus evil. They are telling and selling this story. Not our idea is better than yours because of these reasons. Good versus evil. We’re good, they’re evil.

I’ll give you some examples. They claim:

We represent all that is good and all that helps people toward progress, while the Republicans want to stop progress.

We want to help people with health care, and Republicans want people to die.

We want to help women get mammograms, and they want to prevent it.

We want rich Americans to pay their fair share, and Republicans are just greedy.
Good and evil.

We want to help more poor people get food stamps so they can eat, Republicans don’t mind if they starve.

We want to help black people and minorities have access to v**e, and Republicans want to stop them from v****g.

On and on. Now, if you were a progressive who believes this nonsense, it’s not difficult to feel justified in lying to the public, suppressing the v**es of conservatives using the IRS, lying about your agenda, lying about your background, lying about a dead US ambassador, lying about health care, committing v***r f***d — you would do anything, you would commit any crime, if you believed you were taking humanity step by step toward the perfect future, Utopia. And the Republicans were preventing it. The fantasy of Utopia is why progressives murdered 100 million people, 100 million were murdered by Utopians in power. That’s why the ideology of progressivism is so dangerous.

Let’s take one example of v**er ID and v***r f***d. Democrats have been hammering the idea it is “v**er suppression” if you advocate a v**er identification requirement or if you question “why did 140% of the population v**e in 10 counties in 2012?’ Here’s what I would like people to start talking about. Barack Obama started his political career by exposing v***r f***d! You may not know this, that’s right! Obama owes his career to his efforts to stop v***r f***d in Chicago. In 1995, when he ran for state senate against Alice Palmer, he challenged her petition signatures. Why would he suspect they might not be real? Obama had worked for Project V**e in 1992 in Chicago. Two thirds of the signatures were found to be not valid and Alice Palmer was disqualified.

So, let’s join Barack Obama’s initiative and investigate v***r r**********n fraud. We owe it to him to continue his good work!

Another example is the daily lie of Democrats: “The upper income people don’t pay their fair share of taxes.” The audacity of the lie just grows and grows, even though they know anybody can just Google it and find out that yes, the top income earners pay the highest percentage, the middle pay in the middle, and the lowest pay no taxes. All this disinformation, it’s Soviet era propaganda and they are trying to use Soviet censorship to keep anyone from speaking out against all these issues on which they want to control the narrative.

I hope everyone will go see "There’s No Place Like Utopia" this summer.

Thanks for posting this I look forward to seeing it.
People don't want to understand a very basic idea and that is that when you proclaim to "set people free" and "give them their rights" if it is at the expense of other peoples rights it is a lie.

And,,, that nothing is free, freedom, success, and financial independence is ONLY possible outside of govt influence...

When govt gets involved they "level" the playing field, and take a "cut" for them,,, that cut is better known as "profit"

There is no way to legislate "fairness" in every instance those "helped" by the govt become entrapped.

The "plymouth colony" started out as a commune,,, it failed because those who sat on their butts got the same reward as those who worked. It failed, and the owners back in england and holland saw that and turned it into a capitalist society, then it flourished.

Thanks for the post! I'll put it into my computer's memory, and see that movie when it comes out. Bye-the-bye, those gulags you mentioned....Well let's just say that something similar is being planned here: I believe they call them FEMA camps! In other words, BY DEFINITION, these Utopian Socialists just NEVER learn!

USA: The Next Detroit

One of the most important things to remember about socialism – or coercion of any kind – is it fails eventually because human beings have an innate desire for liberty and a strong need for personal property rights. In fact, the origins of government lie in the need of agricultural communities to protect themselves from violence and theft. So it is particularly ironic that in more recent times, it is government itself that has more frequently played the role of bandit.

When you start taxing people at extreme rates to pay for socialist "benefits," when you start telling them which schools their children must attend, when you start giving jobs away to people based on race instead of ability… you quash human freedom, which bogs down productivity, and if continued for long enough, leads to social collapse.

I find it perplexing that only 20 years after the collapse of the Berlin Wall, the West continues to implement laws that mimic all of the failed policies of our former "c*******t" foes. Our current president won the e******n by promising to "spread the wealth around." But… t***h be told… we don't have to look to Eastern Europe or the Soviet Union to find a society destroyed by coercion, socialism, and the overreaching power of the State. We could just look at Detroit…

In 1961, the last Republican mayor of Detroit lost his re-e******n bid to a young, intelligent Democrat, with the overwhelming support of newly organized black v**ers. His name was Jerome Cavanagh. The incumbent was widely considered to be corrupt (and later served 10 years in prison for tax evasion). Cavanagh, a white man, pandered to poor underclass black v**ers.

He marched with Martin Luther King down the streets of Detroit in 1963. (Of course, marching with King was the right thing to do… It's just Cavanagh's motives were political, not moral.) He instated aggressive affirmative action policies at City Hall. And most critically, he greatly expanded the role of the government in Detroit, taking advantage of President Lyndon Johnson's "Model Cities Program" – the first great experiment in centralized urban planning.

Mayor Cavanagh was the only elected official to serve on Johnson's task force. And Detroit received widespread acclaim for its leadership in the program, which attempted to turn a nine-square-mile section of the city (with 134,000 inhabitants) into a "model city." More than $400 million was spent trying to turn inner cities into shining new monuments to government planning. In short, the feds and Democratic city mayors were soon telling people where to live, what to build, and what businesses to open or close. In return, the people received cash, training, education, and health care.

The Model Cities program was a disaster for Detroit. But it did accomplish its real goal: The creation of a state-supported, Democratic political power base. The program also resulted in much higher taxes – which were easy to pitch to poor v**ers who didn't have to pay them. Cavanagh pushed a new income tax through the state legislature and a "commuter tax" on city workers.

Unfortunately, as with all socialist programs, lots of folks simply don't like being told what to do. Lots of folks don't like being plundered by the government. They don't like losing their jobs because of their race.

In Detroit, they didn't like paying new, large taxes to fund a largely black and Democratic political hegemony. And so in 1966, more than 22,000 middle- and upper-class residents moved out of the city.

But what about the poor? As my friend Doug Casey likes to say, in the War on Poverty, the poor lost the most. In July 1967, police attempted to break up a late-night party in the middle of the new "Model City." The scene turned into the worst race r**t of the 1960s. The violence k**led more than 40 people and left more than 5,000 people homeless. One of the first stores to be l**ted was the black-owned pharmacy.

The largest black-owned clothing store in the city was also burned to the ground. Cavanagh did nothing to stop the r**ts, fearing a large police presence would make matters worse. Five days later, Johnson sent in two divisions of paratroopers to put down the i**********n. Over the next 18 months, an additional 140,000 upper- and middle-class residents – almost all of them white – left the city.

And so, you might rightfully ask… after five years of centralized planning, higher taxes, and a fleeing population, what did the government decide to do with its grand experiment, its "Model City"? You'll never guess…

Seeing it had accomplished nothing but failure, the government endeavored to do still more. The Model City program was expanded and enlarged by 1974's Community Development Block Grant Program. Here again, politicians would decide which groups (and even individuals) would receive state funds for various "renewal" schemes. Later, Big Business was brought into the fold. In exchange for various concessions, the Big Three automakers "gave" $488 million to the city for use in still more redevelopment schemes in the mid-1990s.

What happened? Even with all their power and money, centralized planners couldn't succeed with any of their plans. Nearly all of the upper and middle classes left Detroit. The poor fled, too. The Model City area lost 63% of its population and 45% of its housing units from the inception of the program through 1990.

Even today, the crisis continues. At a recent auction of nearly 9,000 seized homes and lots, less than one-fifth of the available properties sold, even with bidding starting at $500. You literally can't give away most of the "Model City" areas today. The properties put up for sale last week represented an area the size of New York's Central Park. Total vacant land in Detroit now occupies an area the size of Boston. Detroit properties in foreclosure have more than tripled since 2007.

Every single mayor of Detroit since 1961 has been a Democrat. Every single mayor of Detroit since 1974 has been black. Detroit has been a major recipient of every major social program since the early 1960s and has received hundreds of billions of dollars in government grants, loans, and programs. We now have a black, Democrat president, who is promising to do to America as a whole what his political mentors have done to Detroit.

Those of you with a Democratic political affiliation may think what I've written above is biased or false. You may think what you like. But there is no way to argue that what the government has done to Detroit is anything but a horrendous crime. You may think what I've written above is merely a political analysis. Perhaps so, but politicians drive macroeconomic policy. And macroeconomic policy determines key financial metrics, like the trade-weighted value of a currency and key interest rates.

The likelihood America will become a giant Detroit is growing – rapidly. Politicians now control the banking sector, most of the manufacturing sector (including autos), a large amount of media, and are threatening to take over health care and the production of electricity (via cap and trade rules). These are the biggest threats to wealth in the history of our country. And these threats are causing the world's most accomplished and wealthy investors to actively short-sell the United States – something that is unprecedented in my experience.

Very true Charles. Once democrats are put into high positions and the socialist policies start it is the beginning of the end.

Brainwashed idiocy. You got it backwards- bankers control the politicians. In fact, private bankers own the Earth. If you had a clue how our monetary-system worked, you'd understand that. You can blame our problems on ideology all you like, but it doesn't get to the root of the problem: the institutionalized usury and debt-s***ery by the Federal Reserve and it's private owners. It doesn't matter to these folks who sits in Congress or the White House, as long as they play ball. And for the last century, they've all played ball. The biggest threat to the country is a money-supply created as a debt to private bankers, assuring that the nation's wealth will continue to be siphoned off into private vaults, leaving (artificial) scarcity in it's wake. What's happening in Detroit is the wholesale privatization of an American city, and the entire country will be next if we don't wake up fast.

Well said. It is the combination of a lot of things but you are right the banks own this country.
You might find this article encouraging as I see the collapse of the dollar (taking away their ability to ens***e not just us but nations) as a good thing. Washington has been a harsh task master and the world is tired of it.
