I am a "right wing gun nut" I guess and of course a conservative, believer in ALL of the amendments to the constitutions. My hobby's are motorcycle touring and target shooting. I used to like open discussions but realize that I find no substance in discussing anything with liberals and find that it is a colossal waste of my time and just raises my blood pressure. Since obummer became king I am thoroughly discussed with the main stream republicans like MC.Cain. They have sold us down the river. By the way, I prescribe to most of the Tea party ideals .

You're singin' to the choir. How to change? How to take back the US from all the self proclaimed, "intelligent" people? The smarter and more educated they become, the more unintended consequences occur and the more money they want to feed their failed experiments. Tax more, but never consider a cut to an existing program. The best one; Nancy Pelosi derides the senators that didn't v**e for her gun bill as being afraid of not getting re-elected. They were sent there to v**e the will of the people in their district that elected them, not to do what some or she think best.

Welcome aboard Jerry. I am relatively new myself. I am sure you will find plenty of interesting discussions here. What I have enjoyed the most is the fact that I can get into a good discussion and not have my blood pressure go through the roof. It is like it is a relief valve. I actually feel better after I get off the site in the evening before going to bed.

Welcome, I think you will find that not all of us agree 100% of the time, and the discourse can become quite lively, but respectful.

There are some who resort to name calling and exspousing insulting remarks, when their lack of intellect, common sense, and judgement are questioned in an opposing viewpoint. Just keep in mind that they are already lost and have absolutley nothing to add to the conversation.

Thank goodness! Another lucid person joins us. You are sooo welcome. You may already know about it, but one of the right wing groups is sending every member of Congress their pink slips. Actually, I think regular citizens impressed a lot of the Republican Party who intended to v**e for the gun control bill - and they turned and v**ed against it as any decent American would. I don't know who the hell Congress i***ts think they are, but I hope to impress upon them they are NOBODY special. They are our dependents, we keep them in food with a roof over their heads. Wonder what they would think if we stopped feeding them?

Also, don't know what conditions are where you live, but I live in northern Arizona in a rural community, and EVERYONE I speak to daily is so opposed to this circus that pertetually entertains the nation, the US government, that it is palpable. We talk about it all the time, and we talk about plans for when they invade us. We KNOW it will happen - all of us are quite familiar with the ways of those who are tyrannical - they can NEVER leave well enough alone, and continue pushing, pushing, pushing, and they hope to eventually cause us to do something stupid and ..........that's when they can outright murder us. If we ever must fight back, I hope it is done with more intelligence than the left uses when it tries to steal our country. Would it be possible to be any more stupid than they are?

Yes'em it is very possible. If we blindly and unpreparedly let our emotion override our common sense we will be acting predictably and therefore stupidly, dooming this nation to failure. First we must develope a plan. Then find Leaders into whose hands we can put our trust and future of our nation. This endeavor cannot be taken lightly, as there are very few, if any, who are trusted at the forefront.
