The USA has had the unchallenged number one economy in world since 1872 (when we passed the United Kingdom). 1872. Eighteen hundred and seventy two. Let that sink in for a while.

That is 142 years of world dominance erased in only six years under one man’s leadership.

Under Obama’s watch, Canada just passed America for the crown of number one middle class in the world. This is the first time in modern history that America’s middle class isn’t leading the world. This was reported by the Obama-loving New York Times.

Under Obama, there are now more food stamp recipients than the number of women working full-time in America.

Under Obama, the average full-time male employee now earns less (adjusted for inflation) than 40 years ago.

Under Obama, there are now 70 percent more Americans collecting entitlement checks than working in the private sector (148 million “takers” vs. 86 million “makers”). This isn’t a conservative opinion. It’s a fact provided by the U.S. Census Bureau.

Under Obama, the number of working-age Americans not in the labor force is at all-time highs.

Under Obama, the workplace participation rate of men is the lowest in history.

Under Obama, the workforce participation rate of women is the lowest on record.

Under Obama, the workforce participation rate for b***k A******ns is the lowest in history.

Under Obama’s watch, over 800,000 Americans dropped out of the job market last month. That’s almost one million people who have given up…in a month.

That’s almost one million dreams k**led…in a month. What happens to all these people? Where do they go? How do they survive? Who will pay for it all?

This is a devastating legacy, and it’s all true.

There is little doubt the president and his political allies will pay a hefty price for this devastating legacy in this November’s mid-terms. That’s the good news. The bad news is many of the Republicans we will replace these Bolsheviks with don’t have the testicular fortitude it takes to push back on the damage that has already been done. At best, they’ll stop more new bad stuff from happening.

To turn the country back towards American Exceptionalism again will require a standard-bearer in 2016 with the smarts, charisma, and courage to make this case directly to the American people. Someone who has the same sense of urgency on behalf of liberty that Obama has had for statism.

What is your solution to purchased politicians? No matter how they start out, they are soon BOUGHT by special interests. Is there no way to keep someone for Freedom after they get elected. The only weapon we have, is to not v**e for them again. The problem is, that they have access to $$$$ to fight any sensible argument that an opposing and sensible candidate does not.

Even the party you think will do right, soon does the same thing time after time. How do we fix that? Do you really believe that v**ers want this socialist type of government? If not, why do we have it?

Forgive me for butting in, but I have a solution, at least a partial solution, to the purchased politicians problem.
A do-over of our form of government, while still keeping in order with the US Constitution re rights, etc. should be considered.

Federal government would be lean and mean. Would not have any authority in issues that affect its citizens with minimum numbers of exceptions, such as dealing with foreign affairs, with military, with infrastructure. Other issues would reside with the states where purchase of politicians is easier to learn about. No money would go to the federal government except what the states budgeted to send them, and in no way would the feds have any authority to borrow money. There would be no IRS, no HUD, none of any of the social or taxing programs. There would be no opportunity for them to take money for services rendered improperly.

Any politician found taking money or favors in exchange for desired legislation from any source would be tried, and if found guilty, would owe that taken money to the state's treasury, it would be announced in all newspapers and on all local tv stations so that v**ers KNEW what was happening.

There would still be e******ns, and each v**er would have some way of proving his validity AND he MUST be able to answer 2-3 questions about the government and/or about the e******n he wants to participate in, taken from a pool of possible questions. He would take a secret draw from that pool. He would get two tries. Failing both times would eliminate him from v****g.

The federal government would have NO authority to write laws that directly affect any citizen. That pain in the neck would be handled exclusively by state and county.

There would be no such thing as impeachment. Any politician committing a crime or other malfeasance would be charged, tried, and sentenced. It could be done at any time the prosecutor and court decided, but action should be done ASAP primarily to avoid further malfeasance.

I have always held the US Constitution in awe and in the greatest respect. However, the writers of it KNEW that once men found they could profit from it, it would no longer suffice. That time has arrived. Our enemies use IT to destroy US. We have a den of greedy thieves in DC. And they are worse than thieves. They are destroyers. They are dividers FOR POLITICAL REASONS ONLY. This is totally unacceptable. We, the people, MUST DO SOMETHING.

Good, you have a plan, but who has the authority to work it? Do you take the whole kit and caboodle to court? Even the court is bought and sold at the moment. How about we figure out how to establish a Citizens court, legal under the Constitution, an manned by anybody but lawyers. Wait a minute we do have a power, the power of the v**e. We have to be super critical and not v**e for those so easily bought, and if they are bought, we recall them. States have that power. We the people have that power, we just have to stop fighting their fight, and get together to fight on our own terms. The terms of free citizens of a free republic.

I'm sorry I don't have a plan to implement, I will think on it more, you do too, and let us accomplish something better.

Yes, the Antichrist Obama will soon reign down horror and misery upon every living thing. Then Jesus and the Rapture will follow. Isn't this God's plan? You should be happy about it. It's what you want, isn't it?

The government, as it is, has failed, solely because of corrupt politicians and lazy citizens and dumbed down v**ers. It has failed and it is bankrupt. Because of the bankruptcy, eventually it, government, will stop. Banks are failing. One day we will wake up with no electricity, no water pumping, etc. It will be a miracle if it doesn't happen. Once this government falls, if we can prevent somebody else from stealing it as we allowed the collectivist religion to take it and destroy it, we can implement somewhat the same with a few major changes that keeps the feds far, far away from our money and property.

If we got back to our constitution and stuck to our guns we could rectify it but we have to stop twisting the bible and Jesus's words to imply something they don't. Following is a lesson from Davy Crockett.

Davy Crockett’s Lesson for Liberals

Written on Friday, May 9, 2014 by David L. Goetsch

Liberal advocates of big government view your money as their money. Since the United States Congress was first established there have been Congressmen who want to spend your money on their projects. In fact, the authority to spend other people’s money has long been too great a temptation for many who serve in Congress; especially those of the liberal persuasion. But one Congressman learned the hard way that spending other people’s money can backfire on an elected official. Congressman Davy Crockett learned this lesson many years ago just in time to save his seat in Congress.

Before gaining immortality at the Alamo, Davy Crockett served in the United States Congress (1827 – 1831 and 1832 – 1835), but his philosophy concerning spending other people’s money is even more relevant today than it was all those years ago. He came to his philosophy after a misstep in which he v**ed with his colleagues in Congress to use taxpayer dollars to help private citizens in Georgetown recover and rebuild after a devastating fire. According to Edward S. Ellis, author of The Life of Colonel Crockett—abiography published in 1884—Crockett’s “charitable” v**e did not go unnoticed by one of his more influential constituents. This particular constituent was well-informed on current events, such as Crockett’s v****g record, knowledgeable of the Constitution, and set in his beliefs concerning the responsibilities of a Congressman. Had he lived today, he would have been a member of the Tea Party.

Crockett was home stumping for re-e******n when he happened upon this particular constituent plowing a field. When Crocket approached the man and asked for his support, the farmer sternly refused. It seems he knew all about Crockett’s v**e to use public funds to help the residents left homeless by the Georgetown fire recover. Crockett was taken aback by the man’s attitude and claimed “…certainly nobody would complain that a great and rich country like ours should give the insignificant sum of $20,000 to relieve its suffering women and children, particularly with a full and overflowing Treasury, and I am sure, if you had been there you would have done just as I did.” This is when Davy Crockett learned a lesson that saved his seat in Congress. It is a lesson today’s Congressmen on both sides of the isle would do well to learn.

The farmer replied, “It is not the amount, Colonel, that I complain of; it is the principle. In the first place, the government ought to have in the Treasury no more than enough for legitimate purposes…The power of collecting and disbursing money at pleasure is the most dangerous power than can be entrusted to man…While you are contributing to relieve one, you are drawing it from thousands who are even worse off than he.” The farmer went on to tell Crockett that if he and his colleagues in Congress wanted to give money in a charitable cause, they should have given their own—not that of American taxpayers. Speaking of the practice of spending public funds to relieve the burdens of private citizens, the farmer said: “You will very easily perceive what a wide door this would open for fraud and corruption and favoritism, on the one hand, and for robbing the people on the other. No, Colonel, Congress has no right to give to charity.” The farmer’s message to Davy Crockett was clear: tax dollars are not yours to give. They are collected to finance specific government responsibilities as stated in the Constitution and nothing more.

Properly chastened, Crockett agreed with the man, apologized, and enlisted his help in getting re-elected. Needless to say, with the help of this constituent Crockett won his re-e******n campaign. Further, the next time Congress v**ed to dev**e public dollars to relieve the suffering of a private citizen Crockett not only v**ed against the motion but challenged his colleagues to each give one week of their own salaries to take care of the person in question. Thanks to Crockett’s impassioned speech—just a more eloquent a recital of what his constituent had told him—the v**e to use taxpayer’s dollars for public charity failed.

I have known of this story for many years. I suppose it to be true, but don’t really know. Only two people know: Davy Crockett and his biographer Edward S. Ellis, and they are both long since dead. However, regardless of the story’s authenticity its message is both true and prescient. What the farmer in the story feared has come true in spades. When it comes to welfare, food stamps, and the 100 plus other programs that make up the government’s misnamed War on Poverty, the trillions of dollars that have been spent by Congress were not theirs to give. I wonder what Davy Crockett’s constituent, a simple farmer who knew the Constitution better than his Congressman, would think of the entitlement society America has become and the use of public funds by liberals in Congress to create and maintain a dependent and, hence, loyal constituency.

The Constitution prescribes specific uses for the taxes collected by the government. There is nowhere in the Constitution a requirement or even an allowance for using tax dollars for charitable causes—coercively using one man’s money to benefit another man is not charity, it is robbery. Further, using tax dollars to get people hooked on government handouts so they will dependably support the politicians who give them the handouts is not just un-Constitutional, it is unconscionable. Davy Crockett learned this lesson from a simple farmer. It is too bad more members of Congress don’t have constituents like this simple farmer.

In Bahmer's story lies the gem of wisdom we sometimes overlook in our haste to offer charity to disaster victims. We all believe, that the Government is there for our welfare. That is our mistaken belief, it is there to make Government our overseer. We are bought and sold by the people we elect to represent us. It is simply that they have too much freedom to do what they want for their own pleasure. Sponsor a bill to relieve someones disaster is touted as a good thing, Why? It is because the Media is bought too, and has become a branch of the federal propaganda machine. We need more honesty in politics. Is that an oxymoron "honest politics"?
