At last someone else who has some brains.

I miss the days when the media reported the news not their opinion. Also if a news story required them to interrupt our TV viewing then they reported what was going on, kept it short and to the point, then returned us to our program. Now days they just stay on the air repeating the same talking points every 5 minutes. It's ridiculous!

I keep asking myself why our Representatives and Senators do not understand the word "Illegal"?

Why do they keep trying to give people who enter this country illegally the same rights Legal US citizens enjoy.

We are always hearing the excuse for i******s (and foreign workers) that we NEED these foreigners to do the jobs that Americans won't do. Then we get the rebuttal that there is no job that Americans won't do if the pay is decent. This presents a quandary for me. It seems obvious that there are, indeed, millions of Americans that prefer living off their fellow citizens to working ANY job. It, also, bothers me greatly that any self-respecting person without a job, without income, would refuse a job because it only pays minimum wage. Isn't ANY job, ANY income, preferable to NONE?? I know I would work myself to death and give up wh**ever necessary rather than accepting welfare of any kind. But I am 80 years old and grew up in a different time, with much different values than I see today. And my own family is not exempt. I have a niece who dropped out of her first year of college to get married. Since I have observed nothing but one bad decision after another. These two young people live with her grandparents, contribute only $100 monthly to the household. He has a fulltime job while she works parttime and goes to school parttime. Yet, they dine out often, while barely making their auto payments. I was appalled recently to find out that she had bought some type of fancy internet/telephone wrist watch for several hundred dollars, though they both have the latest in cell phones and computer tablets. Maybe I am becoming too cynical in my old age, but I no longer have any sympathy for this kind of living. But I do get tired of the whining from today's younger generations demanding everything be free. Our future!! God help us all especially this country! I am afraid the USA is doomed to destruction simply because its citizens no longer actually deserve such a country.
