Thank you for sharing the video, very eye opening and true.
I agree with her assessment of Nixon as I had a chance to
meet him and have a brief conversation with him as well.
Maybe you didn't understand that he tried to end the war
on many occasions, but was thwarted in doing so by the
same swamp that is now thwarting Trump.
The key players were making millions and refused to back
a pullout of troops because that would have ended their
"Gravy Train!"
Another coincidence was that he ran on the platform of
ending the Vietnam War, and they did everything in their
power to keep him from delivering on his campaign promise.

Thank you for sharing the video, very eye opening ... (
show quote)
He could have ended the Viet Nam war any time he wanted. That was demonstrated on the roof of the Saigon Embassy on 29 April '75. It could not have been ended any less dishonorably.
He ran on a law and order platform and selected a petty extortionist for his VP.
His idea of winding down the war in Viet Nam was escalation of the war in Laos.
His idea of a ree******n committee was a couple of ex-CIA operatives and a couple disaffected Cuban refugees. His primary advisers, Haldeman and Ehrlichman, were the scum of the Earth.
After years of condemning Red China, he opened the door for Mao and betrayed Taiwan.
I am sorry but I can't agree that anything Nixon is worth admiring.
