Agree with your first statement.

However, the European immigrants apparently went with the initial blessings of the relevant governments...they opened their borders. Hence not illegal....maybe not good policy but that is a different discussion.

I know a great way to stop i*****l i*********n...stop focusing on the migrants and start throwing in jail those folks who entice them here by hiring them. Those folks are also breaking the law and some jail time would get the attention of the managers and owners of businesses doing so.

It's easy to go after the powerless.....

Did you read the prior post. It's a climate of profit first.loyalty to it's citizens second. The i******s come cheaper,Therefore they accommodate a lesser over head. They also will be more accommodating so far as to when business wants to ignore laws that they deem to be disingenuous to their turning a greater profit.

It's more of an immediate trouble spot -- the lion's share of our border jumper problems comes from the south. In fact, there is supposedly another incoming hoard expected sometime this month.

Mexico's announced that they are about to begin shoring up their southern border to stop mass "immigration" from Honduras and the other s**tholes in its neighborhood, but until we see actual results from that -- it IS Mexico, which isn't all that confidence inspiring -- we have to plug the big leaks first.

If Trudeau didn't have the lemming-like "come one, come all" policy in place that the left is so fond of, for "refugees" from terrorism exporting countries, our northern border would be a much smaller concern, but that schmuck is populating the otherwise great country on our northern border with the makings of the same tragedy that's befalling most western European countries.

That proximity endangers Americans, so that toilet cake in Ottawa is forcing us to have to reevaluate our security apparatus on our northern border. In effect, he is potentially endangering Americans while pursuing policies that primarily endanger his own constituents.

So while we'd be unlikely to build a wall along the Canadian border, I'd readily bet that we'll eventually have a system in place that's geared toward lone or small groups of crossers, which would be infrequent, not like what we get at our southern border.
