Trump Says He has The "Absolute Power", He's Right Except When He Doesn't

Trump and his spokes people have said that he has an absolute power on multiple occasions. The huge distinction he misses is that he does have some pretty extensive "powers" to respond to certain things...in response to certain things.

Where his powers end are in terms of taking certain extreme actions when the actual dire circumstances where he has extreme powers are not actually there as needing an emergency response. A state of emergency can be declared if there is an emergency...but if such a state is declared when the emergency does not exist, the president is stepping over all sorts of abuses of power that would cross into the realm of being unconstitutional. To use an emergency response specifically to circumvent Congress would be just such a violation.

In the article I posted it points out where Trump did the thing on national television that proves his motive and intents are for the purpose of circumventing congress.

These absolute powers he thinks he has are absolute in theory, there are limitations where if they are pushed too far they trigger backlashes.

The pardon power cannot be used to be part of obstructing an investigation, he has already crossed the line even talking about it being a possibility.

War powers have limitations, and it is actually the job of the house to declare war except where there is the need for timely and immediate responses. Preemptively taking action without an immediate threat actually crosses the line, but the GOP house had not established it's line there.
