The word tolerance is often bandied about these days...

I often find myself questioning where the
boundaries of tolerance start and finish...

My hopes are that in sharing our perspectives we might all grow in understanding...

How do you define tolerance?

An ability to deal with others thoughts & actions as you would have them deal with yours.

Any resemblance to The Golden Rule is intentional.

Tolerance is not the acceptance of intolerance its the ability to understand they are just as much entitled to their position as you are to yours...

A necessary consequence of humanity. We are all fallible, let us accept our intolerance of others just as they are..

First, before replying to your other post I am in search of a picture for your precious love..

It seems we do have similar concepts of many things~

My pups name is Bella and Thank You.. Spoiled rotten.. That particle picture was taken after her spa day of bath, clipping of her nails etc.. As you might guess she is saying WTH did you do to me and get this bow out of my hair...lolol

I like this topic and find it one to follow..😊

I wish you a bright and ever so happy day as well..

Tolerance~ the ability to accept differences.. A monumental task at times but needed ever so much~

In other words~~

I will just go with the verb form 'tolerate'. Simply means to accept other people's looks, speech, beliefs, etc. No need however to bend over and accept it all as gospel. There is where your own persona takes over.

Tolerance is not acceptance or agreement just loving the person and praying for God to work in all of our lives!

Hi LindaJoy

An interesting coincidence... My mother has one by the name of Bella as well... Though she is anything but cute... Yippy little ankle biter... She does play well with my Angel though...

Accepting differences is a rewarding endeavor... Not always easy and rarely successful on the first go... But very rewarding...

Felt the need to ground myself and remind myself why I joined the OPP... As you are aware not every member is interested in tolerating differing view points or engaging in civil earnest...

My Angel loves the doggy picture... (doggy is one of her favorite words)... I have added it to her collection... (she only gets a few minutes of phone time a day and she enjoys flipping through the different cards
)

Hope all is well and you have enjoyed the first week of 2019..

Your friend, Kyle

Anything that the kommiecrats say it is. Anything Trump is intolerable. Muslim beheadings? Tolerate them. I******s murdering cops? Very tolerable. Calling Trump a muffukker? Ideal, especially if you are Palestinian with a v**e in Congress. Anything anti Trump or anti American is tolerable.
