Such a road would also save lives, anytime that "minutes" really matter!

All along that road there should be well equipped "Border Patrol Barracks".

Each such barracks should include a First Aid capability, a detainment facility

and sufficient staff to cary out their duties. As for the wall:

What does it take to build a border wall? Material!

How do we get "material" to the construction site? Trucks!

What do those trucks require, to deliver that material? A Road!

One thing that all roads have in common? Fences!

And what are those fences? Barriers!

The walls/fence will be just like prisons use. Double walls with a road between the fences so a vehicle can drive between the two fences.

Watch towers for personel to watch and raido in an attempt or breach of the fences.

These are not amateurs building or monitoring
The security walls they are well armed professionals.

You have the idea, walls come in many forms, including glass, function comes first.

Besides, Mexico owns all of our cement plants!

The unbroken line of communications that a good border road would provide is essential for the

timely response to rapidly changing conditions, such as caravans can present.

A border road would also provide a platform for a full range of electronic monitoring,

further reducing the actual cost of any subsequent "wall".

Just lock Mitch, Chuck and Nancy in a 10 x10 foot room, until they reach an agreement. No room service!

If they don't reach an agreement within 24 hours, toss in one coral snake, shaken, not stirred.

Is it worth 5 billion to fulfill a lie?

Donald Trump's campaign advisers only invented the border wall promise as a memory trick to remind a difficult candidate to slam immigrants in speeches, according to a report.
On Saturday, the New York Times revealed that the president's signature 2016 campaign promise to build a wall on the southwestern border was cooked up "as a mnemonic device of sorts" to "make sure their candidate—who h**ed reading from a script but loved boasting about himself and his talents as a builder—would remember to talk about immigration."
"'How do we get him to continue to talk about immigration?' Sam Nunberg, one of Mr. Trump's early political advisers, recalled telling Roger J. Stone Jr., another adviser. 'We're going to get him to talk about he's going to build a wall,'" the Times wrote.
Although the strategy worked, the executive director of the Center for Immigration Studies argues that it backfired after Trump was elected as president. "As a messaging strategy, it was pretty successful," Mark Krikorian said, according to the Times. "The problem is, you got elected; now what do you do? Having made it his signature issue, Trump handed the Democrats a weapon against him

I guess you've been living under a rock. Because apparently you aren't aware of the so-called caravans which have been making their way up from Central America with the express purpose of entering the United States illegally. Even the mayor of Tijuana, and its inhabitants want those people making up the caravan out of their community. They say they're bringing crime and disease with them and that there aren't the resources to effectively deal with them. Border patrol agents had to deploy tear gas to disburse some people who had found a way to enter at a break in the existing dilapidated wall. Sending them scurrying back into Tijuana.
Talking points? Hardly!
There's another caravan starting to form. This one is estimated to be 15,000. These people are a very real threat to the security of the US. A wall is the most effective way to stop them. As for those who try to breach the wall, other assets will be deployed against them.

I don't see the Dim-O-Crats working hard to help America.

The only agenda they have is to impeach President Trump on any bullcrap charge.

Muller and his 12 Dim-O-Crat hit men now have a Dim-O-Crat judge extending his time for another 6 months when they couldn't find anything in 24 months excepe a paycheck.

Damn crooked thieves.....
