Freedom Must Be Earned Daily.......

From Dave McReynolds "Macks Tracks" and the Amarillo Daily News, circa about 1995...

So its been around a while...…..t...……

Freedom must be earned daily.

Hardly a day goes by that I don't pick up a paper or turn on the tube and somebody is screaming that his or her space, individual rights and/or freedoms have been stepped on.

Folks, freedom is not guaranteed..!! It has to be earned every day...!!

I read an article recently circulated via e-mail on the internet by state Rep. Mitchell Kay of Cobb County, GA...

It suggests the following:

"We, the sensible people of the United States, in an attempt to help everyone get along, restore some semblance of justice, avoid any more r**ts, keep our nation safe, promote positive behavior and secure the blessings of debt-free liberty to ourselves and our grandchildren, do hereby - one more time - try to ordain and establish some common-sense guidelines for the TERMINALLY WHINEY, GUILT RIDDEN, DELUSIONAL and other CRY-BABY BLEEDING HEARTS...…."

"We hold these t***hs to be self-evident, and that a whole lot of people were confused by the 'Bill of Rights' and are so dim we now require a 'Bill of No Rights"...

*Article 1: You do not have the right to a new car, big-screen TV or any other form of wealth. More power to you if you can legally acquire them, but no one is guaranteed anything.

*Article 2: You do not have the right to never be offended. This country is based on freedom and that means freedom for everyone - NOT JUST YOU...!!! You may leave the room, turn the channel, express a different opinion, etc. but the world is full of i***ts and probably always will be.

*Article 3: You do not have the right to be free from harm. If you stick a screwdriver in your eye, learn to be more careful. Do not expect the tool manufacturer to make you and your entire family independently wealthy.

*Article 4: You do not have the right to free food and housing. Americans are the most charitable people to be found, and will gladly help anyone in need. But we are weary of subsidizing generation after generation or professional couch potatoes who achieve nothing more than the creation of another generation of professional couch potatoes.

*Article 5: You do not have the right to physically harm other people. If you kidnap, rape, intentionally maim or k**l someone, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to fry you in the electric chair.

*Article 6: You do not have the right to free health care. That would be nice, but from the looks of public housing, we're just not interested in financing another government freebie and boondoggle.

*Article 7: You do not have the right to the possessions of others. If you rob, c***t or coerce away the possessions of others, don't be surprised if the rest of us want to lock you away in a place where you don't have the right to a big-screen TV or a life of leisure.

*Article 8: You don't have the right to demand our children risk their lives in foreign wars to soothe your aching conscience. We h**e oppressive governments and won't lift a finger to stop you from going there to live - if you don't get SOCIALISM doesn't work - or fight if you'd like. However we do not enjoy parenting the entire world and do not want to spend so much of our time or money battling each and every little tyrant with a military uniform and a funny hat.

*Article 9: You don't have the right to a job. All of us sure want you to have a job, and will gladly help you along in hard times, but we expect you to take advantage of opportunities in education and vocational training laid before you to make yourself useful.

*Article 10: You do not have the right to happiness... Being an American means you have the right to PURSUE happiness - which, by the way, is a lot easier if you are unencumbered by an overabundance of i***tic laws created by those of you who were confused by the Bill of Rights …

What do you think of 'THEM' Apples....????

I totally agree, but try convincing a Dim-O-Crat of that.

The decline in critical thinking makes declarations like this necessary rather than humerous..

Excellent post...

I have no problems with #6 as long as the
Dim-O-Crats pay for it for their i*****l a***n workers and not the working taxpayers money.

Then we will see how much the Dim-O-Crats like free health care.

No. No. No. No free medical care for non-citizens. If they get medical care and can't pay for it,
deport them. They do not get reentry until the medical bills are paid.
try enforcing this.
