Maybe the women in the service don't want to share showers and heads with men who think they're women. Same thing with the men who serve. The fastest way to lose this argument is to make the assumption that everyone with one common set of characteristics MUST have another set of common characteristics. (E.g. “everyone who lives in Idaho keeps a gun and is a crazed murderer”; “All b****s have xxx”; “All w****s are s*********ts”; “All women are wimps”; “All men are r****ts”; “All t*********rs are mentally ill”.

Now the thing about all those statements is that one or another person can have that thought in their head, and it signifies nothing. One or another person can say the statement about that class of people generally, and it probably signifies nothing because we have freedom of speech guaranteed by the constitution (albeit the person may get doxxed and their kids may get bullied at school).

However - if a person ACTS on their assumption and, say, excludes a big strong woman from working as a welder - expect to get sued under employment law. It’s OK to exclude all small weaklings from the job for safety reasons, but not just because an applicant is a woman (and in the hiring managers mind ‘all women are wimps’).

That’s an unrealistic example because that managers ass would be put out the door long before said descriminated against woman reaches their lawyer’s office.

Same thing with t*********rs - they must be examined on the face of it as being a person like any other person, until objective testing proves otherwise, and their get disqualified for some objectively determined reason.

Interestingly, when I worked on the offshore oil rigs some years ago, virtually ALL the stewards were gay. There was no detectable lack of respect between the rough tough roughnecks and the stewards where one might have expected some. People just got treated as people. Curious that.

If anyone, for any reason has serious mental issues that hamper them then they should not be allowed in the military..

I do NOT like it when the minority rules based on the fact that they ARE the minority. When a ruling or law is made that dismisses entirely what the majority wants in order to be "politically correct", that's wrong. Everyone has their beliefs, however, others beliefs should NOT be forced on anyone that does not have those beliefs. I'm willing to let everyone live as they wish AS LONG AS THEY DON'T TRY TO FORCE ME TO BELIEVE AS THEY DO. Basically, laws have been made to do exactly that. No, I do NOT believe there are more than 2 g****rs! "G****r fluidity", "binary g****r" claims mean nothing more to me than humankind trying to explain mental disorders without calling them "disorders". If a person decides he or she wants to be "older" and gets their hair dyed gray and plastic surgery to make them look older, are they really older? I think not.

The point I was trying to make is that I (and many others) believe that g****r dysphoria IS a mental disease. I also believe that t*********rs in the military is fraught with unintended consequences. Bathing, gang toilets, uniforms, pronouns, etc. makes it difficult for those that don't have the same beliefs. So, the majority MUST feel uncomfortable in order that a vast minority feel they are "accepted". This is a situation where "majority rules" is acceptable. It's not very fair, otherwise and you know how you left-wingers like "fairness".

As far as the shower thing. I can not imagine a person who is physically a male getting to
shower with the BAMS... I only speak for the Marine Corps, but a bet the other branches are much the same..

My wife has some gay friends from college, are you aware of what happens to a gay kid with hard conservative parents? They end up disowned and estranged from their parents way too often. One friend was all excited because his dad had died and his mother was reaching out to include him in family get togethers. 50 years old, came out of the closet in college, his father wouldn't deal with it for 30 years and had to die before he was welcome in the family...

That says some pathetic crap about that mindset, may his father rot in hades.

There's a rather ironic fact regarding marines and army soldiers...it isn't typically gays and t*********rs carrying rifles and serving as target practice, they would be the medical corps, electronics wizards, and pilots.
