How come not one of these zealous reporters jumping like trained seals at Trump don't investigate the very likely possibility that fringe hack Avenatti and Trump fixer Cohen who was soon-to -be- in-the rearview-mirror got together and set up Trump.
They met playing deep stakes poker. Maybe Avenatti was assigned to collect. They got to talking.

Avenotti went hunting for a hungry hooker in Trumps past who would demand another bite of the apple, and probably Cohen suggested a name or two. Someone dumb enough to violate the terms of a don't tell settlement.
Why not take a victory lap instead of making focused comments about the checking acct?
And how did a two bit stripper come up with the money she wanted to "repay"? $130,000? Press stunt.

So the trap was set.

Avenatti owed money and prolly wanted Trump's ducats. Cohen prolly was s***ering for riches, fame, and power after a decades in Trumps shadow.
Then they timed the blackmail demand the right way, for an amount that wouldn't keep Trump up at night. Cohen and the world knew Trump did payoffs
When Trump signalled Cohen to pay it, he assumed his attorney wouldn't commit campaign finance violations doing so.Anybody would assume so.

Cohen used his power of attorney to use campaign funds. Then left x-marks the-spot proof where anyone could find it. Why else did Avenatti tell reporters that the acct Stormy's payout came from had other issues? How would Avenatti know that unless Cohen told him??
In Trump's trial he will reveal he was blackmailed by Cohen and when he wouldn't bow to demands Cohen in a fit of puque wrecked his client out of stupidity.
Cohen had tried to gather enough consonants and vowels recording Trump for a nice blackmail package.But Trump probably figured it out.
Cohen and Avenatti would then have been able ( in theory) to manipulate Trump and become Washington powerhouses pulling the strings in Trump.
Did Mueller bother to investigate this? Did anybody?
