I sure h**e it when this time comes, and I suppose that it always comes to this. I am leaving this site for good. My family and my Rabbi has requested that I stop posting. You see, what happened with Rumitoid bothered me to the point of asking advice. Well the elders read his comments and every last thing I wrote from day one. They said that although they found no fault in my comments, that one individual saw me as wronging him. This, they said, is a reflection of our entire community and as such, and because I was unable to make peace, that it is best for me to not participate any longer. I am saying good by to you, I shall miss you.

I say no! There will always be Rumitoid's out there no matter where you go and by stepping aside your letting the Rumitoid's win. Rumitoil is very much like a politician, never saying what he means straight up.

Thank you my friend, I will truly miss you. But, I hope that you understand that now I have been told, my choice is doing the right thing and obeying or I can be disobedient and wrong. I wish everyone, even Rumitoid, only the best that life offers.

I have a better solution, if you do not mind. Tell them what they feel I must do to resolve this and I give my word I will do it, trusting in their wisdom. If I renege on that promise, I will leave.
The greatest man I ever knew, and I mentioned this a few times, was Benjamin Ostrofski. A Polish Jew who survived the camps and was a messenger of peace. I was a teenager when he helped me so I did not grasp the full import. But all those days and nights my mother shuttled us to his house to avoid my dad's alcoholic rage, he was there to comfort and reassure and give us strength with his stories. Molly, his wife, a terrible cook in our goyem eyes, doted on us with maternal care. We may have gone hungry considering the meals she prepared that were so foreign to us, but we never went without nutrience to our souls.
Our family lived in IF and his IG. And we did live in "IF": will he be sober? will there be a fight? am I gonna get it tonight? will our mom get it tonight?
Things got a good deal better after Ben made friends with my father. No cure but not the usual chaos. I started going there after dinner, when Ben got home from work, a secret I kept from father by making myself out to be "just another teenager."
If you see the same wisdom as I did in what the faithful of your religion have to say, by my trust in Ben, I will abide in giving us time or that instead it should be me that leaves. Please pass this on and let them reply to me personally.
