Actually, both parents do not have to be born in the US. The Constitution says the president must be natural born but does not define the term. US Code defines it as having one parent who is a US citizen at the time of your birth. For instance, Ted Cruz was born in Canada to a US citizen mother. His birth citizenship is that of the parent, NOT where he happened to be born. Obama's problem is that the citizen mother had to have been a resident of the US for 5 years after the age of 14 according to US law. His mother just barely squeaked in, and some say that the birth certificate is f**ed not because Obama wasn't born here, but because his mother did not live here long enough. Even a US citizen has to reside in the US or territories for five years after the age of 14 if they have lived overseas if the other parent is a foreigner.
