Every year environmental groups celebrate a night when institutions in developed countries (including my own university) turn off their lights as a protest against f****l f**ls. They say their goal is to get America and Europe to look from space like Africa: dark, because of minimal energy use.

But that is the opposite of what's desired by Africans I know. They want Africa at night to look like the developed world, with lights in every little village and with healthy people, living longer lives, sitting by those lights. Real years added to real lives should trump the minimal impact that African carbon emissions could have on a theoretical catastrophe.

Isn't it a little hypocritical to live in cities in America and from there deny Africans the comforts that you enjoy?

My comment was also in agreement with you. I was speaking to the other "yous" out there who are being hypocritical, not to you personally. Sorry for my lack of clarity.

I find it interesting that those environmentalists live in big houses in fancy neighborhoods in California with all the modern conveniences and comforts and say the Africans are better off living in dirt and leaf shacks.

That is the future they want for US. "do as they command, not as they do" And realists are called "Deniers". But by "liberals"! They (liberals) are as important as roaches! Do you care if a roach doesn't like you? I can't think of anything lower than a liberal! Even Whale S**t, and that's on he bottom of the ocean! Normally I would have pity on the disadvantaged, and mentally r****ded. But liberals are happy with their ignorance! So Who am I to complain? (the only problem is "THEY BREED!!)
